Could we have had a world where the cult of socjus (and by extension, the anti-SJWs who opposed them) either doesn’t exist or at least doesn’t have nearly the same level of social influence & power it has in our timeline and is mocked & hated even by the majority of the left-wing, nevermind & MSM & governments? What would that world be like and what would it have taken for it to come about? Or was the woke clownworld we have now truly inevitable and couldn’t have been averted barring the manipulation of reality/the cosmos itself?

Life would be too perfect if there wasn't always some major group around harshly criticizing the lifestyle of everyday people and trying to guilt them into repentance. Those groups you mention used to be called the religious right.

Even back in their hayday, the religious right never attained the same level of social influence & power the woke left has done today (in large part due to being primarily made up of crusty old boomers & overprotective parents plus lacking support/popularity among most of the younger generation for obvious reasons). At the very least, they weren’t able to force the majority of media creators into kowtowing to their demands despite all their bluster (e.g. Jack Thompson failed to get Mortal Kombat banned while Anita Sarkeesian succeeded in guilt-tripping the developers into desexualising the female fighters cause “objectification”).
