Never forget, Kiwis, that when one takes actions in a power-play like this, intended to intimidate, they are always, without exception, broadcasting a truth about themselves without realizing it: Usually that their own position is weak and indefensible, and that they have to crack down on this shit to intimidate the rabble to keep it in line.

And we all know how well that works, once you've shown that you're that thin-skinned. We can look around, lament that the UK in general isn't better than this, but the Chad Kiwi realizes that this is a moment of great opportunity for those who are willing to exploit it, because the powers that be have signaled they're trying desperately to maintain a power-base that they're about to lose.

They could execute Dankula right now and it wouldn't stop what's already been set in motion by simple virtue of him being willing to buck the system. More and more of the fucking normies are waking up, and being willing to call a Spade a Spade when it comes to how the UK is being run right now.

This is basically what's happened before with numerous similar, albeit smaller events the last few years. Fact is, Social Justice is losing on every single front: Social, Political, and Legal. What it's doing now is lashing out to forestall the inevitable, likely trying to find solace in the argument that the people of the UK have no choice but to vote for shit representatives, cheerfully ignoring what happened in the USA when the DNC tried to pull that shit:

I'm not saying I know for sure what's going to happen at this point, since if anyone's capable of cucking this up, it's the UK, but if the country were to say, mass-vote-in the UKIP just to tell the powers to be to go fuck themselves with a table saw, I really won't be surprised.

The New Statesman prints an open letter to Ricky Gervais explaining that a man being arrested for speaking isn't a free speech issue.
And the guy who wrote about it for Gizmodo apparently sees what a fucking joke this is, but probably wants to get more work in the future so he remains completely neutral, it's like reading a news article from the nineties!

I think it's because they don't like the idea of the "greatest atrocities" in human history being reduced to a joke, even if it is the people responsible for those atrocities being made fun of. Honestly, why does Europe's society revolve around Nazi Germany so much? What about Soviet Union Russia? Way more people died in that.

I have a theory: they only convict minor offending "criminals" like people watching the BBC without a TV license because they're zero risk and high public response profit. Muslims are legitimately dangerous and, like we've seen for years, heckling someone with a color swatch of skin color too dark is a public response money sink. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if anytime the cops ever have attempted to arrest an Arab that a bunch of white people screamed "NAZI GERMANY! FHUCKING REEEEEEE!" outside the penitentiary walls. It's the worst case of partisan politics we see today.

Breaking up and convicting the Rochdale or Oxford sex trafficking gangs requires effort and much investigation and risks screeching from self styed "community leaders" claiming EVIL RACIST BIAS and such. Convicting a Scottish idiot for a meme that might be racially offensive is easy and risk free.

It doesn’t help that schools tend to gloss over what happened in the Soviet Union, even though Stalin was more effective at killing Jews off than Hitler was. Because of muh Socialism, we can’t let kids know that the biggest problem with that and communism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.

The Nazis were also way more transparent about what they were doing in comparison to the USSR- so there’s that.

Back on topic, this is a stupid waste of tax dollars going towards arresting a guy over a fucking joke no matter what angle you look at it. The UK is too far gone to be saved at this point.

Kind of like how stateside, feminist and socjus slacktivists will only target non-problems like manspreading and pronoun usage on campuses instead of real issues. They want an easy win that makes them look tough and accomplished, not a real struggle they stand a good chance of losing because they'd have to combat real enemies.
