Poor Bossman is gonna freak when he gets out of prison only to find his long-term investments of CSGO skins have completely tanked. It's so fucking rigged, oh my God dude.

Maybe in the far desolate future of 2030 after the Dollar has collapsed in value, the people who've left the wasteland to enter the MetaverseTM will use CS cases as their main currency for trade.

That or virtual blowjobs.

I don't feel bad for the retards who spent TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS on fake internet gun skins in counter strike. You deserve to lose everything like the NFT bros did if you're just that regarded

The fact that this update tanks TF2 keys is also hilarious. Kino update, so worth the tears.

Real gamers push haphazard updates that make faggots and niggers seethe and cry over stupid faggot skins.

Keep on gayming gaben, you probably still missed a few you glorious fat fuck.
He needs to target DOTA 2 players for complete armageddon.

I just realized that because skins from the Genesis Collection don't have any knife/gloves, these skins are even more worthless. The FAGLORANT AK is more useless. Absolutely kino.

I wonder how much Valve's revenue is going to go down with this or if it will even go down since more knives will trade in the steam marketplace

Reminder that people have speculated lots that CS2 has become a haven of money laundering, using skins/stickers/commodities. This is one of their ways of eliminating that prospect.

And to the skinfags, maybe play the game and show us your true ranks.

This won't have any impact on the money laundering issue at all. This might actually make it worse since knives will drop in value making them easier to buy and offload.

Rare item hoarders won. I keep rare and """valuable""" virtual items because they look cool and I want to use it while actually playing the game. Only Gay Retards unironically hedge their life savings in a micro-economy that can literally collapse in 1 small update's patch notes.

My Operation Broken Fang souvenir. One of the most expensive Agents. I won't sell this fella.

BEFORE: 10 skins of the same rarity for an item of higher rarity. Knives were only in cases.
AFTER: 5 covert skins for a knife or glove. (The cheapest covert pistol (originally at $2.50) spiked to 50$ while knives (valued from 50 to inf) dipped sharply.)

An indescribable amount of work has gone into making CS2's and TF2's lootbox pulls alluring to gamblers, traders, and speculative investors: dynamic effects, custom normal maps, randomly generated weapon color patterns based on unevenly weighted texture maps, intigrated market place item viewing, and people autistically salivating over exposed high/low floats for weapons.

See the Butane Buddy charm that uses Source2's Half Life Alyx efficient bottled liquid simulations ($100-$1000):

See blue-gems (A) that generate from a random slice of a pre-defined texture ($500-$4,500):

I know they are capable of rolling things back for the TF2 unusual unboxing glitch. I wonder if CSGO2's inventories have the same intigration if they plan to back-pedal. Niggas are just making knives and crashing the market with no survivors as we speak. OP R8 revolver update all over again.

My guess: Valve realized most players weren’t interested in the rare lootbox pulls or the high prices required to get into knives or gloves. This change lowers the barrier to entry for buying and aquiring gloves or knives, letting more players engage with the marketplace and its systems for rarity, floats, wear, and patterns. While it ass rapes investors, it drives broader participation and boosts steam marketplace transations for red skins and cheaper knives.
Somewhere in the Valve offices, they have a pie-chart with the number of active users who DO NOT have knives or gloves. Valve wants that slice's money, time, and attention. The other slice is autistically small, niche, and shitty enough to betray for profits.

Even if they roll this back the damage is already done with the 3rd party marketplace transactions
