Plagued COVID Conspiracy Theorists and other idiots - This is not a political thunderdome or gay slapfight thread.

a shit ton of conspiracy theorist get their info from other nuts jobs and memes.
There's a whole wide world out there outside of getting buttmad at politics and conspiracy bullshit, full of fun and joy. It's sad that some people can't discover it
politics poison the blood and make you hate life. I don't know why people deep dive into in the past recent years (both "left" and "right")

For all of the reasonable people in this thread who aren't anti-vax & anti-mask retards, here is a newspaper article from Mayo Clinic that dates back to 2006 that I found laying around in my house. Guess what it recommends? Masking and vaxing! This pandemic was never meant to be political and the CDC has always had these guidelines in place lmao.

I doubt any anti-vax/anti-mask retard is going to bother to actually read everything though.

Clearly you're just a part of the deep state conspiracy to control us all with muzzles and nanobot 5G vaccines. You are clearly not to be trusted. /sneed

It honestly feels like they don't even know why they're against the vaccine at this point, they're just against it because twitter libs are for it.
Honestly, most of the shit anti-vaxxers repost is the same shit/meme. I honestly believe they don’t even know any true reason why they are against it. I remember when trump first announced that he was starting operation warped speed and his followers were for it until he started to doubt it. Now they think vaccines are for left “woketards” and will turn you into a sissy femboy or something. I think at this point most of the anti-vax movement is just fully political now

Qualifying for a transplant is not easy, and doctors do not have an obligation to give everyone an organ in the same way that you must give everyone a hospital bed or basic care or something. Why? Organs are in very short supply, and each one is given out on a case-by-case basis. They won’t give one to you if you look like you’re not going to live past 3 years into the future.
It's funny because one of the newer antivaxxer talking points is to bring up how people who are morbidly obese are straining our health care system too, so why doesn't anyone call them out?

First off, I do. Second off, if you have CHF secondary to morbid obesity and aren't going to lose weight you're not going to get a heart transplant either.

Once you get a heart transplant you are going to get on a regimen of no-shit immunosuppressants that make you very likely to die from COVID. Oh and you probably won't get any antibodies from the vaccine either if you decide to take it.

The "party of personal responsibility" is decrying the fact that this man made his choice and now he gets to face the fucking consequences.

Yeah like it's even more funny since they are the only ones who mocking talk about "only two weeks to stop the spread" and laugh to show how far it's gone not aware that their friends were not listening along with the fact no one talks about it anymore but them.

They're too stupid and/or uneducated to understand basic info about how viruses and vaccines work. Parts of the internet, however, tell them that they are smart for being anti-vax. They think they're in on something and that knowing it makes them special.

Does anyone remember the Twitter user ethicalskeptic (real name Roger Cunningham) from the beginning of the pandemic? He would post all kinds of incomprehensible charts and blocked people who brought up issues with his methodology. The covid deniers ate that shit up because he catered to people who lack the ability to critically analyze data but want to feel smart.

My favorite was when he declared that covid was over in June 2020. Screenshot_20220126-211823.png

That last one is my fav. Big corporations have been poisoning us for DECADES (remember Erin Brokovich?) and these fags only started crying about it when it was a free jab to save their lives from a deadly illness. They are actual sheep who cannot critically think for themselves and only base their opinions off of what they're told to think.
I remember different pesticides were given the okay but where known to cause cancer and no one said shit. Hell, trump said asbestos was okay and forced the fda to loosen it ban on it and his fans were cheering for this but, no, the vaccine is evil.

If only we could get them to nebulize the asbestos Trump liked so much.

I lost a few colleagues at the start of all this, but no- it's not an obituary column on any social media I look at. Strange how these people are all dying and seeing people they know die. Almost like there's a reason for it.

Also sorryantivaxxer has another transplant denial sob story posted right now. If you can't follow directions, you will just die after a transplant. It would be a waste of good meat.

edit: just another sordid tale, like a million others, unfolding daily in small-town America

I have no problem with people who don't want to get the vaccine. This isn't something like measles or smallpox where the vaccine prevents you from actually getting the virus, it seems like it prevents serious disease. And if you're under 40 and not fat, don't have a metabolic condition, you're probably going to be fine.

I just don't think they should tie up the ICU with their nonsense then. No vaccine, no ventilator, comfort care and support only. Not like you have great outcomes from being so sick with COVID you needed to be vented anyway.

Hospitals are having to choose between who gets blood, a new mom who just had a post-partum hemorrhage or some fat, fuck who is dying from 'beetus and needs pressers and round the clock ICU care.

Why is this woman taking up an ICU bed? https://twitter.com/QTWIQ1

It's like watching Catholics defend birth control or abortion. I'm not saying pick Rome, but if you do there are rules.

What you are describing — health care rationing — is precisely the reason why experts and scientists urge everyone to take Covid seriously. Yes, the disease is mild for the vast majority of people. But for that fragment who are NOT ok when they get it, it is mopping the floor with the entire health care system. One percent of the American population is still 3.6 or so MILLION people. To sit by and do nothing would greatly exacerbate the problem.

Health care rationing is the absolute last resort, and the worst possible outcome you can hope for obviously. Additionally, doctors do in fact have an obligation to provide care to everyone… Hippocratic oath and all that. So they don’t have the luxury of refusing to treat your average idiot antivax Trump supporter. If they walk in the door, your job is to help them. And a healthy society should be able to help all who walk in that door.

This is the thing that antivaxxers and covid deniers can’t seem to grasp. Yes this isn’t the fucking Andromeda Strain, yes the planet will be safe no matter what, but the human cost will be extreme and spill into all aspects of life. This is far, far worse than anything the likes of @LeChampion1992 and @The Spoony One X have had to deal with (a bloo bloo bloo I have to wear a mask and that reminds me of Muslims!)

At this point I think a lot of us would rather throw them in the river and be done with them.

The problem isn't only that they're clogging up hospitals. If that was the only thing happening you'd see less burnout. What's happening is that they're clogging up hospitals AND they're becoming increasingly violent and deranged, so it makes you question what the hell the point of your care is. Somebody's gonna shoot up a hospital one day mark my words.
