Didn't people have issues with the Crash Reboot Trilogy when it came out? Like gameplay wise you messed up more than you did in the original cause the hit boxes were more rounded than squared or something?

Personally I'm of the same opinion as OneyNG, the aesthetics (visuals) aren't appealing and just makes things look worse than they did in the original. Speaking of which...

I'm not optimistic about this.
They somehow fucked up the controls and collision in the N. Sane Trilogy despite literally just remaking the old games with better graphics. These third-rate devs can't even give old games a new paint job without fucking it up, they certainly aren't capable of making good original games.

N. Sane Trilogy had problems but the CTR and Spyro remakes were at least playable, even if they were not as solid as the originals were. I'm willing to be optimistic that they might tweak some things to make jump mechanics more fluid and this'll be a proper test of whether the studio can do something interesting without thumbing directly through a Bradygames(tm) Official Strategy Guide from 1998 to figure things out.

This isn't the end of the world if they used a capsule collison box rather than the classic prism in the original game

The collision felt like it was more precise than the PS1 games and there was a slight delay in the controls to me. Neither on their own were that big a deal, but combined they made me miss a lot of jumps that I felt I would have made in the originals. That said I got used to it pretty quickly and ended up 102%-ing Crash 2 and beating both 1 and 3. Spyro Reignited didn't have this problem and it's the Spyro devs doing this new game, not the N. Sane devs (who are doing Tony Hawk 1+2).

The remade character designs were hit and miss for me. Most were fine, a few like Crash and Ripper Roo were good, but Coco never looked that great in N. Sane. Hopefully they do the same thing that N. Sane did and let you play as either of them in most stages.

Being that this is being built from the ground up the collision problems won't be an issue. Toys for Bob is also toning down the difficulty which was another big complaint about the trilogy.

I'm going to take a guess and say that the difficulty will more or less be around what Rayman legend's platforming was. They supposedly want to add some variety to the platforming since it's still going to be linear.

The deal is that the devs if the remake ported over the physics of the third game, but each of the three had their own system. So while Warped was pretty much a 1:1 translation, you were getting fucked over in 1 and 2 because the platforming was built for a different set of physics than what was actually provided.

It's just videogames, none of this is important. But in the context of making good videogames it's important to get the way the character controls and moves right and they messed it up.

They tried taking the old source code and other shit and tried to jam it into a modern engine that's what happened with n Sane Trilogy.

This one won't have that problem because it's a whole new game. It apparently might be cribbing some stuff from mario 3d world because those levels are basically just linear paths as well just zoomed out more for a wider scope. Changing perspectives also isn't out of character for the series either because even Crash 1 had 2d linear platforming for quite a few levels.

Also if you're having issues on n Sane trilogy. There's a way to get crash 3 moves in crash 1 and 2. That fixes most of the bullshit jumps.
