Crash bandicoot 4 it about time

Oh god what the fuck did they do to Tawna

She looks like a Jak and Daxter character
I like everything except the hair for some reason, the blonde and blue they picked just doesn't go well with her
I wish we got aussie shitposter as the design though
Hell, even the concept art is more Tawna and Bandicoot than what we got. I would have loved Australian Tawna.

Still not getting this game until a major price drop because after nitro fueled I do not trust activision to not pull some shady shit with this game in some form.

The thing about the Tawna's redesign is that they completely changed her design and removed/lightened her makeup, then slapped an 'alternate reality' title on it while the other Coco stayed the same despite being from an alternate reality(?). While alternate realities exists, they should had just told us/foreshadowed then set Tawna in instead of just plopping this her out of nowwhere.
Regular Tawna by visual identity is the "hot and sexy" girlfriend to the "ugly" Crash. This is... some 'heroic pirate' Tawna? I don't know, I can't decipher anything
Regular Tawna also has a recognizable silhouette. You could recognize her in a game with several different skins for her and several other female characters. Her cartoon portions were essential to her character design- bimbo tits and the rest. This Tawna is just a blocky humanoid striped mess.

I've never understood redesigning a new character so drastically that you have to explain they're from an alternate universe. I don't see why they didn't just make a new Bandicoot character if they wanted to reboot Tawna completely- or just use more rarely-seen characters from the past games.

A friend also gave me this image, which is on the PS Blog.

EDIT ADDITION to make better sense since I was tired on making this: The point is that they drastically changed her so bad that you can't even tell its Tawna unless you're told or read the title. While I understand a bit of her 'tough' porportions are from survival, the point still stands. If they wanted it to be her, they could had just used any of the concept art, you can instantly tell its her from some alternate universe.
I can understand the changes from a "HOLY SHIT TRAUMARAMA" standpoint, but Aussie Tawna would have been way more fun to play with and as. She'd be cheeky, stoic and constantly insulting the size of your knife. Her looking better is just a bonus. She better actually learn the lone wolf angle doesn't do shit or the entire point of her character is... well, pointless. It's pretty obvious she was hurt by the loss of Crash and Coco and if she doesn't learn to overcome that fear she'd have no character development which would pretty much tell me she was designed to pander.

If Aussie Tawna turns out to be an alternate outfit, having her face off against a giant sting ray would be awesome.

Another thing that's off about Tawna's redesign is that she kinda looks a little over-designed compared to most other Bandicoot characters. It's a very cartoony aesthetic, so most characters have very simple designs, but Tawna has JUST enough extra details that it sticks out and clashes with the other characters.

god damn why is the game so expensive over 70 dollars digital? thats crazy. some stores sell it for 60 but i think im just gonna wait it out a bit.

The moment someone thought it's a good idea to make people pay for a demo, and most of the comments are extremely unhappy with these decisions.
You kind of fuck up advertising your own game, especially a sequel to a popular franchise.

Reactions: Just wandering
I tried the demo; the pre ordering to get it aside, I will give TFB the credit for what they seem to be trying to do for the levels. Basically taking the proper sequel route and jumping off what was learned before in order to elevate the full experience.

So in terms of a linear platformer; they've decided to take the different POVs and mesh them together for individual levels without the transition of Warp Pads to find and engage them. So for example, you had your Chase levels, your side scrollers, and your straight runs; here, they rather seamlessly manage to mesh them together for the Dinosaur level that was showcased. It's not groundbreaking, but I can see where they've been doing their homework between 2 and Warped.

I don't know about the Neo Cortex level though, Ship Happens. I have yet to explore it more intricately, but from what I can tell it's doing some weird crossover thing with Crash's levels, because I reached a path where taking one resumed the first Crash level of the demo and scored me for him rather than Cortex.

How's it handle? Heard that Crash loses acceleration from the double jump but gains it back quickly.

Reviews are coming in and they're full of the usual complaints you'd expect, it's like they're fucking parodying themselves at this point.

And here I thought everyone agreed calling something hard the Dark Souls of thing was overdone but I guess I was wrong.
Also, isn't Ninja Gaiden harder than Dark Souls?
