Crash bandicoot 4 it about time

It seems like Activision is basically killing off all their franchises and throwing all their devs on COD/Blizzard shit. Pretty fucking shortsighted IMO. I don't have much hope Beenox will escape this fate either.

I like COD, but this shit kind of makes me hope Battlefield trashes it this year.

Activision is now a victim of their own success. Like R* with GTA V. This is the definition of "putting all your eggs in one basket."

Not everybody is into Warzone or CoD.

I didn't even realize Crash 4 was on PC finally... On Battle.net for whatever reason. I thought Activision threw in the towel on that kind of exclusivity when they dumped a ton of their games on Steam? Oh well, easy torrent download there.

I wouldn't fret, you don't need Activision studios to make a new Crash or Spyro.

They own the licences so it's in limbo for now.
Well as of current yes, but it doesn't mean they won't lease them out to other studios or even outright sell them if the price is high enough.

If they're just transitioning into Full on COD they probably will get rid of assets especially if it means they can be flush with cash.

I hate the way companies do this, it's not fair to everyone else that they become laser focused on their most profitable games at the cost of everything and everyone else instead of using that money to fund more niche things, what's the fucking harm in that? They stand to make even more money than they would otherwise but oh no, we can't have that because it wouldn't make as much money ignoring the fact that they're still leaving money on the table, it's not logical.

It's the same deal with Konami and Pachinko, imagine if they put all that money towards another really good Silent Hill game, but no.

I hate the way greedy assholes run the world, money is a means to an end, nothing more, if you're not using the money your entertainment company makes to fund a wide variety of entertainment for a wide variety of audiences then fuck you, you're a fucking asshole, you should be concerned giving as much people as much much needed entertainment in this difficult world as you can.

Money for the sake of money is pointless, do something with the money you assholes!

I wonder if we'll ever get a Sekiro follow up or if that's doomed due to being an Activision ip.

Fucking Bobby Kotick can lick my asshole.

Sad thing is torrenting the game is the best way to play it, no always online bullshit to deal with, It's like companies want to fuck over paying customers

See also: Sega's attitudes towards anything NOT Sonic/Yakuza/Persona related. To be perfectly fair, Sega is slowly but surely improving on that front: finally bringing PSO2 to the West last year, Streets of Rage 4, the Panzer Dragoon remake (there's also a remake of Zwei in the works), Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX, and so on. It's almost gotten to the point where I can honestly say that many of the other video game companies should be taking notes from Sega in terms of reviving their old IPs.

Edit: Wonder Boy III remake too.

Another series dead. This is just depressing. Going into the 9th Gen it really felt like 3D platformers were coming back, but I guess we are going to be living in the 7th Gen again where they are either obscure or Mario/R&C/Sonic. This really sucks. Crash and Spyro are dead again, Yooka Laylee was a failure, The BFBB remake disappointed, and so many others just came and went.

I guess I can just be happy that Sony of all companies is putting a bit in to revive the genre with 3 titles upon the launch window of the PS5, but this really does not look good.

Finally 100% completed the game after two months and 85 in-game hours. Toys for Bob, you done good....just try to make 100% completion less tedious next time (if there'll even be a next time).

Also, FUCK TOXIC TUNNELS AND WHOEVER DESIGNED IT UP THE ASS.

Remember Crash Team Rumble? me neither!

it died

Obligatory Crash 4 opinion: Meh. I couldn't finish it, and I would have considered myself a superfan of the series before Twinsanity. Hated the artstyle and humour, felt like a bad Nickelodeon show. Too many collectibles and too much repeating the same long fucking levels like 10 times just to get everything.
Wrath of Cortex is better.

Anyway I'm here to show this:

Custom tracks in CTR is becoming real. Spyro autist CrystalFissure is on the case.
