Say hi to Theda and Fritz. They're boyfriend and girlfriend.

My dog is obsessed with all the leaves outside. I decided to bring some inside to shut her up. She's currently enjoying dat fall crunch like the basic bitch she is.

I'm really missing my dog.
We had to have him put to sleep unexpectedly on Wednesday, and although he was 17, he wasn't showing any signs of slowing down, until he got ill on Wednesday morning.

He was a Chihuahua Yorkshire Terrier Crossbreed, and the most gentle, loving, chilled out boy ever, didn't even have a yappy bark, just a kind of "grufffff...can't be arsed to bark so this is all you're gonna get".

We also have a 4 year old dog and 2 cats. The cats, being cats, don't really seem to be arsed, but our dog actually even LOOKS sad, her ears are not their usual perky self, and her body language seems droopy.

I'm off work at the moment, and giving her lots of love and cuddles, and doing what I can for her.

I think today is the day that it is hitting us that he is gone.

Gorls, I got some terrible news today and looking for some #relatable feelings from crazy cat ladies.

We took in a hospice cat a few years ago and it is finally approaching the time to say goodbye after doing all we could. Prescription food, experimental bloodwork, four hundred different medications, anything and everything hoping he'd get better and have a nice quality of life. We adopted him old as shit out of the trash to begin with and knew we wouldn't have a whole lotta time with him.

He is the snuggliest little old man and I don't want to let him go. It feels like somehow failing him even though this is just nature taking its course and kidney disease doing its usual bullshit it does with cats. I hope that taking care of him was the right thing to do, he's been so happy and went from a feral trash goblin to a drooling lap cat.

Grandpa Rap Scallion isn't the first cat this happened to and he won't be the last but god damn it. I wish we had met him sooner. It's never enough time with these little goobers.

Glad you spoiled this old man rotten. Even old animals need love. Remember there's more cats that deserve the same love you've given this snuggly old man. That's how I coped with losing my first corso last year. Still felt like part of me died, but it helped a little.

Thought I heard purring just now. It was a hermit crab chirping. The fuck?

My dear husband sent me this photo:

Apparently Bear got into the breakfast I bought for Alex at McD’s. Which means he got two Sausage and Egg McMuffins.

Oh boy (with a frown). Which one of you bitches BROKE the CAT distribution system?
I've been "companion free" for almost 2 years.
What did the BROKEN cat distribution system send me?
A PUG. A pug is NOT a cat, it's barely a DOG!
I'll add I haven't had a dog (of my own) for nearly FORTY years, (none of them small)
PLEASE help me make up my mind, I am so absurdly torn. I'm so serious, I can't decide what to do! HELP!
I'll try to be brief- this little fellow appeared in the neighborhood on Thursday. I thought he was with one of the regular walkers around the area. Later about 5:30, dark coming on, people were trying to corner him a yard over. Me, being the only one around here without animals or a person to complain about the "stray" thought, "Sure, somebody's GOTTA be looking for him." Animal control was already closed so I'd just keep him overnight. SILLY ME.
SO, I need to know from YOUR experience please, if any of you have PUG experience, particularly with the expensive health issues most have or are likely to develop.
I knew about the flat face breathing problems but holy cow! Seems to be many more reasons to NOT have a pug. Is it REALLY that bad?
Thank you.

Thanks so much for looking after her. Do make sure to give her plenty of interaction, they need pets and play to get properly socialised. I'm not sure how long the window is but if you miss it I think they're quite hard to get adopted.

Also get her some worming tablets if you haven't already, apparently a lot of kittens have them and they can be very destructive to a small, growing body.

It is possible to safely introduce dogs to cats, though it depends somewhat on the dog. I have friends who keep cats and lurchers which is insane to me, somehow they're fine together inside but can't be allowed in the garden at the same time.
I can attest to this, though it depends on the gender of your dog and cat for how long it might take. If you do keep the kitten, you have to introduce them slowly and keep a close eye on them. You have to be calm and do not be anxious, especially if your dog hasn't seen a cat before. Definitely put a muzzle on your dog since it not only prevents biting, but protects their eyes. Let the dog sniff the cat, and make sure to do it at a pace that best works for the animals.

No pug experience but my inlaws have chihuahuas and one has similar short nose breathing issues they also can suffer from brochial flap issues. There is also the possibility of the eyes falling out of the head depending on how inbred they are because of bug eyes. Main thing is to keep the weight down on them over weight pugs tend to suffer more with the breathing issues and extreme heat.

That being said they are really sweet lap doggos.

Today Bear got the bone from last nights prime rib. He was happy with it.

I once knew a based woman who got all sorts of fancy purebred cats because one of the neighbors would get them and then let them free roam in the woods. And when they went "missing" they would just get a new one after a while. And then keep letting them elope, never once learning any lesson.

My foster doggo is still a big puppy and came from a really shitty situation, like lucky to be alive shitty. Today he took a treat from my hand and is getting up on the bed with another dog and myself. Its Thanksgiving and I'm thankful he's starting to trust.

I was resigned to him being a foster failure, now I have hope he will be able to be adopted so I will have room for the next canine in need. (I like the problem children)

I want to cuddle Bear and use him as a big squishy pillow 🤩
If you try he will belly up to get pets and put his forepaws up to his mouth to look extra puppy cute. He's a master manipulator
