I like how the jump from "Women doesn't like her Uncle to the point she won't let him in the house" to "they're lesbians so clearly one of them is also a witch!" doesn't even fucking exist, its just assumed that in every lesbian relationship at least one of them knows the dark arts. It's like a Chuck Asay comic, he assumes his audience both totally agrees with and sees the world exactly like he does

Ok, I might have leaped to conclusions with the lesbian thing, but the jump to "oh shit, she's a witch" still doesn't exist and its frankly hilarious to me that he just starts with that. Also, a closer second reading made me notice the Harry Potter panel. Fuck me, really? I thought the witch hunts of popular media died in the 80's with the D&D panic

"The Missing Day" has one of my favorite examples of "Jesus? Who's Jesus?" in the entire Chick canon.

It dwells on how wretched and degraded non-Christians supposedly are, which would completely alienate its alleged target audience. It's an excellent example of how Chick Tracts are designed more as wank material for the converted than as tools to convert the unbelievers.

For the academics among us, I would like to introduce for examination the actual dissertation of "Dr." Hovind.

This is worse than a Middle School project. I would call it by it's title, however he didn't even think to give it a title. I would check the accuracy of the sourcing, but there are no references given. There is no methodology to speak of, no synthesis of literature into a new concept, no problem, purpose, research questions, etc.

There are a lot of great scholars on the topic of religion, but this man is a fool.

It's bad enough I had to add a security exception to read that, he starts with "Hello, my name is..". In literally any institution of higher education worthy of the name that first sentence alone should have earned an automatic fail. Is it safe to assume that 'Patriot University' is the degree mill it sounds like?

Well, that article was....enlightening. I've never seen quite so blatant a diploma mill, they at least usually put some effort into a thin veneer of legitimacy. And I didn't know that Hovind had been arrested, or that he was now officially in the prophecy business. 2028 is a good year, fair away enough to milk the...whatever it is you get when you start declaring that the end times will be upon us in about a decade or so

It's a diploma mill for Christian retards. If you want to get a purely religious degree that has not even the validity an accredited Bible college has, this is your place.

Basically 100% bogus, like the degrees from the universities "Amazing Atheist"'s dad used to run.

For fun, look up accreditation bodies that are not recognized by the DoE. Its like all theology and seminary stuff. Sometimes I think about how easy it is to milk these simpletons.

Oh I love Jack Chick. I have a friend with a huge collection of Chick tracts.

My favorite is the one where he claims that if you have an icon of Mary, you are literally worshipping the Egyptian goddess Isis, and she is gathering your energy to feed to her lover, the Babylonian god Serapis. Together with the Vatican they are preparing for war against the true Christians, etc.

That is an example of why I root for satan. He and his team do lots of cool stuff like that whereas the christians just lie around being plain and pretentious and not proactive whatsoever
