I just found out an old friend of mine was charged with murdering her own ailing mother. I really can’t make myself believe she’s capable of doing it, but the state clearly thinks they can prove it if they bothered to charge her. I think I’m more afraid of her being falsely convicted than of finding out she did it.
I suspect there are more than a few unreported cases where people bump off their dying parents. Maybe they don’t want to see them suffer. Maybe they’re just tired of having to take care of them. I think it happens more often than people think. I’ve always defined my time to go as when I need help to take a shit on a regular basis. If someone has to wipe my ass, then it’s time for me to go.

I thought Dr Death was a murdering asshole when I was little. I assumed he quite literally killed people against their will. But when I got older and I saw how the elderly can really suffer, it hit me that he was just doing what they asked him to because they couldn't bear another Monday.

There has been no word on the Cleveland Torso Murder's first victim, they have been working on it for almost a year so maybe soon... Hopefully.
I wanted to share this, there will be a movie about the case and filming starts this summer on actual locations related to the case, they also have access to real case files and media articles from the time. Sounds interesting and i really hope it turns out good, they can potentially bring new eyes on it.

Bit of a rant here but fuck it. State really was the bad guy in Jack Kevorkian's story, he offered a peaceful way out for people (mostly elderly) suffering through some horrible shit who would have died anyways because of their condition.

Euthanasia does need some kind of age limit though like 50-60 or terminal illness, injuries or syndromes that seriously fuck you up and get increasingly worse and painful over time. Unlike what Canadian state might think, stuff like poverty, whiteness and depression are not reasons to get tax payer funded suicide. Shit like that is actually bordering on state sanctioned murder.

State should also never recommend euthanasia, it should always be something that you have to ask yourself or somebody close to you in cases where patient is uncapable of speaking.

If there is any truth to her being involved, it would have been an act of mercy IMO since the incident includes rapid onset of alzheimers, extreme pain caused by osteoporosis, and an alleged morphine overdose. She's just adamant she didn't do it at all and from what I know, the circumstances don't really make sense. The nursing home her mom was in called her the day before to have her come in saying her mom was likely going to die in 24 hours and also say they left the morphine just laying out for anyone to snatch and that she overdosed her mom with it. There isn't anything on camera. She was in a legal battle with the nursing home because she was unhappy with her mom's care. Part of the accusation is that she asked if her mom's pain or death could be eased with medication like morphine, but who wouldn't ask that in that situation?

I could see someone doing that for a family member to free them from agony, but I can't imagine the psychic damage you do to yourself killing another person for any reason, if you aren't a psychopath, which I don't have any reason to believe she is.

I can stop sperging about this. Not necessarily a creepy unsolved mystery, but it's creepy and unsolved to me, especially the idea of being falsely accused and convicted of something and how it would destroy your life.

people who run off into nature can quickly and easily find themselves on the wrong side of it, especially a stock analyst who believes in new age stuff.
Reminds me of the Rosemary Kuntz case where she disappeared while on a spiritual retreat. Although other info says she wasn't depressed at the time and she probably just got lost and confused, I wonder if this is also a possible suicide/assisted suicide given the new age circumstances. The Earth Circle Association's (now defunct) web page matches up with the timeline going back to 1999/2000, and I found another source about one of its tribe leaders and the general location. Most native tribes have highly confidential knowledge and lore they don't share outside of their inner circles (i.e. "this waterfall ravine is a portal to the spirit realm") and are notorious for covering up reservation crimes. Next thing they know, tourists are gonna swarm all over that place seeing if there really is some well-hidden path and exploit it. It's a catch-22, but the math somehow adds up.

Yeah, just like Serial and Making a Murderer.
I just hope they do it justice but nothing with even more attention for this stuff, even in true crime sphere they have lots of people who have never heard about it.

The Betty Cash UFO incident
Also known as the Cash-Landrum incident and it had some fucked up but interesting health effects on people involved, might have been some classic US government shenanigans though since there was about 20 choppers buzzing around according to witnesses.

Just would like to say I never realized how interesting I would find true crime/mystery stuff. I appreciate you all giving me more videos to watch in a time when I had hard time finding stuff to listen to while working.
I got some stuff that are perfect for listening only while working. My "watch later" list getting way too long its cooked lol.

Here is a good ice berg list on forgotten civilizations and another ice berg about historical "out of place" artifacts from the same dude.

This one is the "ultimate unsolved mysteries" ice berg, literally has all kinds of mysteries.

And just for jokes, i found this really dope X-Files lore channel.

I’ve seen old people just have enough. They’ll stop eating or just decide to go for walk in the winter without a coat and let the elements try to take them. It seems to be something the we as a society all pretend doesn’t happen.

We truly live in a society.

My issue was more with the absolute joy killing someone brought out in him. Watch interviews with the guy after one of his killings, the guy's practically cackling with joy.

This reminded me of a big farming family patriarch I knew who had lots of land, livestock, etc. Multimillionaire but was declining in health fast as he was in his 80s. Decided in one of the coldest days of a polar vortex to get his mail (his mailbox was like a half mile away from his house) in an Gator and of course never made it back. Made the local news and everything. People were baffled why he’d do this but deciding he had enough and to leave the world on his own terms is a much better end than dying in a hospice somewhere.

Nothing wrong with taking pride in your work!
