Creepy Unsolved Mysteries - From unsolved murders to unidentified people to unexplained supernatural events, what are some of the creepiest unsolved mysteries you've ever heard of?

It was just what was done. I'm not excusing it or condoning it, that was just what people did. There was a lot more of a village mentality back then, and people were much more likely to intervene if dodgy shit was happening. Also kids were raised very similarly to the way Japanese children are now, to be a lot more independent because parents often couldn't afford things like babysitters or after school care.

The Beaumont children's disappearance went a long way towards killing this practice overnight, with the Adelaide Oval abductions in 1973 being another nail in the coffin.
Man, fuck south australia.

Dunno if anyone covered this one

The Unsolved Disappearance of The Beaumont Children

In the mid 60s. Three Australian Children were reported missing after a morning trip to the beach.

Witnesses claim they saw the children playing with a tall slim man at the beach not long before the reported disappearance

The children seemed relaxed and to be enjoying themselves around the stranger. Speculating that they knew the man beforehand.

No remains were found. To this day the case remains cold.

Now even for the standards of the time who the fuck let's their three children, the oldest being nine take a morning trip via bus to the beach alone? The early/mid 20th century was open season for rapists and pedos
I remember reading years ago a book 'The Satin Man' that seemed to be really convincing of a suspect although I'm sure they were looked into. Unfortunately I don't think there will ever be answers for this case

New documentary about the Burger Chef Murders is being made.
Quoting myself because I just now got around to watching The Speedway Murders.

Parts of it were very well done. As an eyewitness to the '70s and to Burger Chef restaurants, I say that that part was spot-on perfect.

Having the actors portraying the victims talking to the camera and to each other was a little weird, messed with my head a bit at first.
Showing four potential ways it could have gone that night made the music from Clue start up in my mind, ya know when there would be a card on screen saying "How it could have happened" "How about this" and "Here's what really happened."
Except that there wasn't a "what really happened" in this case since it's unsolved.

Lots of good interviews and clips from news broadcasts. Some scenes where people are outside a little green and white building? That is the actual (former) Burger Chef. It was torn down in March 2024.

There are a few scenes of a vehicle driving through what looks like an evergreen forest that didn't seem right since there are mostly deciduous trees around there, but the area doesn't look the same as it did in 1978, houses have been built where it was once a wooded lot.
All in all there wasn't a lot of focus on where and in what condition the bodies were found, probably out of respect for the surviving family members.
Can't help thinking about it a bit, it would have so remote and dark, even though there was almost a full moon. Were there clouds? I don't know.

I found myself muttering "Fuck you Bill Dalton!" at the screen a few times, so that was something.

I hated it when white guilt took over during the BLM furry but peaceful protests and they all decided to look at the crimes of “the marginalised”.

Every fucking one was the same. Woman, usually a junkie and a prostitute, goes missing. No one reports it. A distant relative who got the fuck out of the ghetto wonders what happened to her. No one cares. Distant relative reports it to the police. No one cooperates with the police. Crime goes unsolved. All white people responsible for some reason.
And 90% of the time, it turns out the "victims" killed themselves or OD'd in a culvert, even though troo crime people would have you believe that they were murdered by evil white men.

I think this depends on where you're talking about. American reservations, sure, but that Highway of Tears shit is legitimately spooky.

It definitely varies place to place, but wherever you are the official narrative is that all incidents are racist incel White chuds
Long haul trucker is one of the most common professions of long term serial killers. It's also a highway with a lot of hitchhiking and prostitution by people unlikely to be missed.

The 14h was the 25th anniversary of the disappearance of Asha Degree. She walked out of her house in the middle of the night and hasn't been seen since.

Asha was a 9 year old girl who lived with her parents Harold and Iquilla. Seh also had a brother about a year older than her. The parents were rather strict on their kids lives lives wanting to focus more on family and church. She played on the schools basketball team. A few days before she disappeared her team lost a game to which she blamed herself for. But her parents said she got over it quick. On the 13th the family had a normal day but going to church and later going home. That night the power went out so the kids couldn't take their baths. Harold checked the kids room after midnight and saw both of them asleep. Shortly before 6;00 Am Iquilla got up to draw their baths. When she checked the bedroom Asha was gone. She checked the house and she wasn't anywhere. Harod called his mother to check if she was there and she wasn't. Iquilla called the police. After some investigating they got some answers. Asha left her house sometime after 3:00 AM. A truck driver saw Asha near the highway. Some other people saw her too. A motorist turned around thinking it was weird a little girl would be outside in this hour and weather. But when he got close to Aha she ran into the woods. Asha backed a backpack with some clothes and other belongings. A few of these belongings included a Minnie Mouse bow, some candy wrappers, and a picture of an unidentified girl. Theys searched the woods but found nothing. A year later her backpack was found in the woods. It had a New Kids On The Block Skirt and Dr. Seuss McElligot's Pool from her school library. Her parents said she never had that shirt before. Asha case went cold for a while after that. It recent years there was a leak Asha might have gotten into a green car. Possibly a Ford Tunderbird or a Lincoln Continental Mark IV. There was a search of a house and yard in the area that fit the description but nothing was found. It's never been said if the school library records were checked to see if Asha was the one to checked it out or if someone gave it to her. The records may have been erased by the time it was found though.

There are some theories. Some say she is simply a runaway. Her parents could be strict and some think she ran away to escape that. But family and friends said she was happy. She might have been groomed by someone at school or church. There is a pin pal theory. This states Asha secretly had a pin pal. This might explain the picture of the unidentified girl. Asha thought she was talking to another girl her age. But she was really lured by a predator who used the picture to trick her. No one has ever come forward saying they know the girl or that she is the girl. While unlikely there is a theory the girl might be the St. Louis Jane Joe. Her parents said she was afraid of the dark and dogs. The family lived in a rural area and the road she walked out got really dark at night. The shed her belongings were in sometimes had dogs in it as owner had some. Why would she walk in the dark or hide in a shed with dogs? It rained that night and was chilly but she didn't bring her coat. Another theory is that the child in the photo is the deceased daughter of someone. They never got over their grief and wanted her back. They thought Asha looked a little similar so they kidnapped and brainwashed her into thinking she was their daughter instead. They might have convinced Asha to come by promising her a better life than with her real family. Whatever the case Asha has not been seen since. Her family believes she is alive and hopes for her to come home again.

Reading all this, it (to me, anyway) sounds like one of the then-teenage daughters might have accidentally hit Asha with the car, panicked, pulled the body in to the car, and brought it home...cue parents helping cover it up.

That doesn't explain what Asha was doing out there in the first place though, or why the Dedmon parents wouldn't just report what was obviously (if it happened that way) an accident.

Lots of questions. Hopefully we'll get some more updates soon.

The miserable weather we've been having this February really drives home how utterly bizarre her leaving the house was. I can see even a shy homebody having an adventure outside at midnight in June, but February?

Asha is one of the ones that I sincerely hope has some resolution, but 25 years is a long time.

I just want to know what really happened to that girl in the Halifax Walmart who was found dead in the oven.

"The cops know what happened but don't want to piss off the Sikh community" is a popular theory but are the police really so cucked that they let an Indian get away with murder because of "diversity"?

I mean, yeah. That's 100% what happened in my opinion. South Asian subhumans fit that particular m.o. hundreds of times each year, jealous, smelly, low IQ rats.

One time I got Taco Bell to bring home, but I stopped at Sam's Club first. I had a full Baja Blast in a drink carrier in my passenger seat. When I came out my Baja Blast was empty. There was no signs of anything leaking or spilling. Surely a large Baja blast leaking would have left evidence. It was empty. Everything else was still there.

It's possible her case can be solved one day. It took 65 years for the Boy in the Box to be solved. If his case can be solved I do think there's a chance people like Asha, Amber, and Mikelles could be one day.
