Creepy Unsolved Mysteries - From unsolved murders to unidentified people to unexplained supernatural events, what are some of the creepiest unsolved mysteries you've ever heard of?

I did some more reading on Amber Hagermans case I read about a theory I didn't hear about until now. Some people think Amber was killed by a man named Dennis Earl Bradford. In 1990 six years before Amber was killed he kidnapped an 8-year-old girl named Jennifer Schuett. Jennifer had been taken from her bedroom window, sexually assaulted, and left to die in a field. Her throat was cut just like Amber’s. But somehow, miraculously, Jennifer survived. She lay there all night, unable to move, and was found the next morning. Their cases are similar — both young girls, both from Texas, around the same age, similar appearance of a long black-haired white girl with blue eyes, and the same method of attack. Killers sometimes go after the same people. For example, a serial killer might only kill blondes. Bradford wasn’t arrested for Jennifer’s case until 19 years later in 2009 even after giving a detailed look of him. He confessed to everything. If found guilty he might have gotten life in prison. But he committed suicide in jail before a trail came. There are a few differences. Jeffifer said Bradfords vehicle was a yucky yellow car with 2 doors. Ambers abductor was a black truck. Of course, there was a 6-year difference. He might have gotten a new car. The towns are almost 300 miles apart. Amber was kidnapped in daylight on a parking lot and Jennifer was kidnapped in her room in the middle of the night.

From what I read the police have never linked the cases and I don't think Ambers mom has ever discussed this theory. Even though it's unlikely I think the police should at least look into it.

I just looked at how Jennifer Schuett is doing now and I guess the sexual assault ended up giving her Hydrosalpinx. Though IVF helped her and she now has two kids. Happy everything turned out well for her.

Amy Bradley's family is kind of odd, her brother in particular. The whole thing about the hateful note her father sent her after she revealed she was a lesbian presumably caused her a lot of stress. She most likely did fall overboard unfortunately.
I wish I could rate you twice with "Feels" and "Informative", because I've never heard that extra detail before. I take it she and Yellow either departed on good terms or he unsuccessfully hit on her at some point and pursued her to her doom.

This is like the Unsolved Mysteries episode about the two bishops deaths. Father John Kerrigan and another guy whose name I've forgotten. It starts with one in New Mexico receiving a call requesting him. He departed and was never seen again. I think his body was discovered in a field.

Anyway years later it turns out Kerrigan was a pedo and the place he was staying at was a place for priests who were implicated in sex drugs etc. Idk what it's called. Like a priest rehab (?)

Today marks the 7th year anniversary of the disappearance of Tiphaine Véron, a Frenchwoman who disappeared in Japan. I have been following this case, as well as her family's fight to find her, ever since it happened.

On July 27 2018, she landed at Narita airport in Tokyo. She was supposed to spend three weeks traveling alone in the country. Tiphaine had been studying Japanese for a while and had been looking to her trip for a long time, planning every stage of the trip in detail.

After spending the first night in Tokyo, she travelled to Nikkō in Tochigi prefecture on July 28th. During the afternoon, she was caught on multiple CCTV cameras on the way to her hotel, the Turtle Inn. She checked in at the hotel between 4:00 PM and 4:30 PM. Due to the fact that it was late in the afternoon and because of a typhoon that was coming in, she ended up staying at her hotel for the remainder of the day. Throughout all of this, she kept in touch with her family.

On July 29, she was spotted by multiple staff members and other guests having breakfast in the dining hall of the hotel, until about 9:30 AM. After that point, accounts start to diverge on when she was last seen. The hotel manager claimed that she'd left the Turtle Inn at 9:53/9:54 AM. However, her phone continued to ping from her room for some time after that. Later analysis conducted by a French tech expert revealed that her phone wasn't simply switched off normally, but forcibly shut down as a result of physical damage or the battery being removed.

Additionally, a Swiss expert recently conducted an analysis of the geolocation of the phone data, and discovered that her phone pinged from her room as late as 11:40 AM. The phone pinged every three seconds at various locations in Nikkō on July 28, but on July 29, her phone seems to have never even left the hotel (her phone wasn't in her room and has not been found). This completely contradicts the hotel manager's statement about her leaving the hotel shortly before 10:00 AM.

Hotel staff became worried when she didn't show up again and ended up contacting the police. They entered her room on July 30. Her personal belongings, including her passport, were left untouched. After that, authorities and the French embassy were informed of her vanishing. Her three siblings flew to Japan on August 1st.

On August 13, the local police examined the room in the presence of her brother Damien and found large stains (possibly blood) on the wall using luminol. The police didn't collect any samples on-site or send them for laboratory analysis.

Another thing worth noting is that the region saw a series of violent incidents in the months that followed. For example, two women were found with their throats slit in a parking lot shortly after Tiphaine disappeared. Earlier in 2018, there were also witness testimonies from Japanese women of a man who'd posed as a guide, only to start groping them later on.
Unfortunately, there hasn't been much progress in the case for the past seven years. One big problem is that the Japanese police have been very incompetent so far (for example, the hotel manager was only interviewed once, and Damien ran into a man who claimed to have seen or spoken to Tiphaine, but the police refused to interview him) and aren't taking her disappearance as seriously as they should be. There are a lot of people who disappear voluntarily in Japan every year, so the police won't open a criminal investigation into someone's disappearance unless there are very clear indications of foul play being involved.

In my (and the family's) opinion, she met with foul play, and whatever happened to her happened at the hotel.

The Japanese court system is also rigged. You never ever hear of a miscarriage of justice because there's this (feudal?) belief that prosecutors are always going to convict or something.

Where the fuck did you grow up? Rapeville, West Virginia? And multiple predators? Yeah, we had a creepy guy that got a little handsy with a girl but he "left town" permanently after a few guys had a talk with him after they ransacked his trailer. But multiple?
I'm Australian, but I grew up in a very similar town. The strange thing is that similar sized towns within a half hour drive as mine weren't nearly as terrifying. I think that sometimes local culture, crappy local schools, few legitimate employment opportunities and low general income can combine to create some absolutely vile little shitholes, and the only coppers who want to work there are all on the take.
