The developer Aquaplus has been acquired by CREST(yes it's spelled in all caps). CREST is a game company that made mobile games. Aquaplus is mostly known for Utawererumono(Underwater Ray Romano). And the whole reason why CREST bought Aquaplus was pretty much for that, they're planning on global IP growth which means everything Aquaplus will release now gets a global release.

They bought the entirety of Aquaplus including Leaf, which was where Aquaplus released their ero and ecchi titles. It's likely that CREST took a rake to it because CREST does not seem interested in titles like those.
This is could possibly explain why both Utawererumono Zan 2 and Monochrome Mobius had their console releases held up. Utawererumono was floating between NIS and ATLUS in terms of who globally publishes, but now it's looking like CREST is going to publish these games for every territory.
