crypto.com coin is an exchange shitcoin I bought $1000 worth of for lols and now it's the #1 coin in my portfolio. What gives? Honestly the exchange sucks ass and they totally fleece you on withdrawls, but I guess all that advertising pays off. Anyone else holding this? Apparently they're working on a new chain called cronos that can port every token and smart contract from ETH, but with miniscule fees. I'd sell but I'm staked in their wallet which takes a full month to unstake so I guess I'm just letting it ride until Cronos Chain flips Ethereum or I get bogged.

If I was trying to introduce someone to cryptocurrency I would try as hard as I could to direct them away from crypto.com. The app doesn't even open half the time, there are arbitrarily high withdrawl fees, and everything is priced like 3% over spot for some fucking reason. I would probably just sell some btc directly to them and direct them towards tradeogre, lol.

I was tempted by this but Wirex seemed to be a better and simpler crypto rewards option utility coin. The weird tiers of cards put me off.

I bought a pretty small amount (100 coins) on the crypto.com app back on Wednesday when it was valued at $0.6575 CAD ($0.52 USD.) It's now up to $1.14 ($0.90 USD) per coin as of posting. I just think it has really good appeal to a very broad audience (they have the TV ads with Matt Damon and bought the naming rights to the Staples Center, etc.) which is why I decided to grab some. I'm just pissed I hadn't bought thrice the amount when I did. If anyone is still looking to make a quick buck, I believe that the exchange goes live for Americans on Christmas day. For Americans I believe that you can buy CRO on Coinbase currently.

Crypto.com has announced that they've got agreements to buy the North American Derivatives Exchange, and the Small Exchange. I'll be very interested to see how CRO moves in the next few weeks.
