Retarded take. Comparing Afghanistan to Taiwan makes for a nice sound bite for Chinese propaganda and probably gives chills to people living in Taipei, but they are not comparable situations.

The Republic of Afghanistan was a corrupt and completely incompetent government, trying to be a modern liberal republic, in an ethnically divided country, with one of the most backwards societies on Earth, that was doomed to fail as soon as the US backed out. Taiwan is a stable modern democracy, that in theory could stand on its own if it wasn't for the fear of imminent invasion by China. The only commonality the two share is they are wards of the United States but their situations were completely opposite: the United States is guarding Taiwan from an external threat, wheres in Afghanistan the United States was protecting Afghanistan from itself.

And a double retard take saying China would just waltz into Taipei, as if the government would just allow the CCP to come in and execute them without firing a single shot.
