Crowbcat Discussion Thread

First video I ever saw and still remember was the Re (Master) Todd video he did with the song. Also, Cyberpunk was so bad it brought him out of retirement. Watching clips of Cyberpunk being compared to the original GTA games you could just tell shit was going bad.

It was very funny to watch a developer of Cyperpunk 2077 melt down on the SomethingAwful forums cause Crowbat "took him out of context".

No dude your game just sucked and was a piece of shit on launch.

I never saw that. Any developer of that game should be too ashamed to admit they worked on it.

No. After his mental breakdown over schilling some trash VR game he became worthless. The game I believe had something like a 150 person peak on Steam and usually has no players now and seems dead. And he was calling it the "future of VR" and comparing to the first 3D games and revolutionary titles. Guy was either advertising the game, which he denied, or has zero taste in quality games. I personally believe it was an advertisement or personal favor to make that video.
That video marked the end for him, but for a different reason. It showed he was a prisoner of his fanbase. He can not say or do anything positive. It must be shitting on gaming and endless blackpills or else his audience will rebel. The definition of audience capture.

His last controversy was the RE4 Remake video, although I didn't really understand the backlash, to me the remake is inferior to the original.
I've noticed that since his RE4 video his views have been consistently down.

The channel Gmanlives started a rumor that he purposely lowered the audio levels for the remake which was untrue but still persists to this day. I think that the public's opinion on the remake has gradually gotten more negative over time. I saw some long ass video trashing on the remake recently that was positively received.

He could easily have thrown this together when the rumors started. It's all just from the making of Oblivion.
I haven't watched it yet, so I'll say this in advance: if the original title is still readily available, remasters/remakes are largely an non-issue in my eyes. There's not immune from criticism, mind you. My thought process is that if I do not like the art direction or QoL changes, I still have the original.

I looked him up on nitter and was quite surprised to see people hate him. 99% of it seems to stem from his resident evil video.
