So what are your thoughts on this game? Any hopes that it will be anything like the first game? (let’s be honest it probably won’t) Will this game destroy PCs like the first game back in the day?

I think it'll be good; if Hunt Showdown was any indication, Crytek knows how to make a competent shooter. Question is, will they push the A.I that made the first game so good, and will they stay away from what made Crysis 3 so bad, I.E restrictive levels and braindead gunplay?

Also, Crysis 2 was the best, even though I prefered fighting the Norks in 1 and Warhead. The Ceph were so cool to fight in 2.

The game which got scrapped mid-development, moved to another studio and then salvaged into a mediocre early access battle royale FPS? Even if it got better with time the shitshow behind that game is the reason I wouldn't be optimistic about anything coming from Crytek.

Different studio worked on Hunt Showdown for a while until Crytek was given the reigns from Crytek USA. This is probably why it took so long to make the game. (this would also kill off Crytek USA)
Personally, I don't bother with CryEngine games due to the way they pay their employees and how they do business (Do NOT work for them, they will fuck you over).

As was mentioned Hunt was a game that got rehashed and then handed off to another studio. Even then it went through heavy developmental changes to get to the state it is now which took I believe two to three years of serious work. It's a genuinely impressive and enjoyable game now but it did not start that way or launch that way.

With luck the studio that does handle Hunt will do something else similarly creative.

Crysis 2 was definitely better than 3. They did my boy Alcatraz dirty. Prophet ate a bullet and still gets to be in charge? Fuck off. You dead, nigga.

Crysis always sucked. None of the abilities had enough "charge" to them and tying them all to the same power source was stupid. No one would field gear like this in real life.

But the real question is: is the cybersuit still possessed by the spirit of a cybernigger?
The cybersuit has simply become a nano-nigger, if the end of 3 is anything to go by.

Also, screw Alcatraz. They killed off Nomad in a fucking comic book and he was way more fun to play as than Prophet or Alc. Had a personality besides "Angry black dude".

Let's be honest though, Psycho was the best team member and Crysis: Warhead was really good.
It's too bad though that Nomad and Helena get thrown out off screen and you're stuck with the least likeable member of the original team

No idea why they decided to have the story revolve around Prophet, the asshole commander who kept all of you in the dark which put all of the team in danger

Agreed. Who doesn't like an angry lower-class Brit?

Psycho was my favorite Nanosuit user aside from Alcatraz. Warhead was a treat considering you could play as him, aside from the general improvements to gameplay and enhanced level design and focus.

It probably won't ever come out. Crytek is ran like a slave ship and I honestly don't know how they're even still in business. None of their games after Crysis 2 seemed to have done very well and almost nobody but them uses their engine.

Get the GOG version. It includes the 64 bit exe. That means it can access more RAM which makes the game more stable. It's currently on sale for 5 dollars as of this post.
The most important reason is that with the Steam version the copies they give don’t even fucking work. Every time you start up the game it prompts you to give a CD key. The main issue is that CD key is already filled out, but when you click accept it refuses to verify your key. Your only solutions are to either use the CD key through EA Origin or use a modified executable to skip this check.

Never tried 1. Started from 2, really enjoyed the atmosphere and music.

3 was just straight up garbage writing. Most half assed tech demo of a story ive ever seen. It looked Amazing, but that didn't change it from being dogshit worse then JJ abrams. I just did not buy Cell taking over the world and somehow beating all these dudes with nano suits. It would be like if in half life 2, if the military ruled the world after getting its ass handed to it by aliens in black mesa.

Also the bow broke the game.
