For old times sake we should just annex Cuba and make the based Cubans the enforcers. Hell we can let them pilot the helicopters while we shove out the commies from them. We could even make it like a giant game of darts. It’ll be great!

Seeing claims (though not sourced) that pretty much all of Havana has gone dark. Keep in mind that if there's one city that's going to have at least some energy left, it's going to be Havana. Can't imagine how bad it's gotten throughout the rest of the island. Cuba has essentially gone back to the 18th century. At some point, electricity stops being a luxury and becomes a necessity just to keep food from spoiling and water running. Most people today have no concept of how life was before the 20th century.

Rumors from Mexican media are that any oil they have gotten from Mexico for free has been sold to China. Probably so that the communist elite can have money in China in case they need to pack their bags. There's still no definite answer whether or not Pemex has officially stopped sending oil, but no tankers have left since Trump announced tariffs.

I'd rather personally go there and set up my restaurant for the impending mass flood of investments to make cuba a territory of the US and burn Z flags to piss of the Russians.

Cuba would immediately become a vassal state of Florida and all Florida politics would dominate Cuba's economic fate TBH. Been a while but I did talk to a NGO teacher who worked with cubans circa 2013 and I remember her saying that the pro-castros would have to be deported immediately and barred citizenship to avoid terror attacks against Americans.

Hey, if we're all going to profit, I'll take a gander and make some land investments, maybe help with the infrastructure a bit to bring back tourism. I know the island Floridians are out of money at this point, but don't worry, I'll take payment via shares of the now privately owned Habanos SA company. I'll also take payment via yearly tribute of H. Upmann and Hoyo de Monterrey boxes once they manage to fix their quality control issues.
 
Double post, but got some news.

According to some Mexican news sites, Cuba is willing to "reactivate bilateral cooperation", mainly to confront terrorism, money laundering, and narcotics traffic. Haven't seen any American sources.

Looks like they're realizing they're out of options. China ain't coming to the rescue, Iran is going through their own shit, and Russia still hasn't been able to project power into the poorest country in Europe.
