Not leaning false flag on this one I think some retards got to close and some trigger happy officers shot and killed them. Now Cuban government knowing they're fucked beyond saving at this point is trying to play the angle of they shot first. The officers are probably dead at this point too knowing how Cuban government works

i think this is exactly what happened too. maybe with the addition of captain morgan at the helm. either way, if this was just random american citizens who accidentally wandered into cuban waters and they got shot, and cuba cannot prove in ANY way that they shot first (i didn't even see them showing pictures of bullet holes in their boat or equipment) it could very well go south, in more ways than one.

That really depends. I doubt shooting a bunch of drug smugglers or other criminals is a casus belli. And I don't see even the dumbest American military outright losing to Cubans like that. It looks like a FAFO situation to me.

they would not be able to reconstruct almost anything that's destroyed right now, so even basic bombings would be unsustainable for the cuban government, and it's very doubtful they have highly-stocked bunkers with recently-acquired, still-usable, refined gasoline or diesel fuel for their bunkers. even if they do, it's only a matter of time, and abandoning the country you claim to love so much wouldn't exactly win you the hearts and minds of your people if aid workers show up with a bunch of shit they desperately need, and a plan we might call marshallesque.

what? when the hell did i imply they were military? i thought i implied that they were probably a bunch of people from cold northern states taking a vacation in florida during winter, and they got drunk and boated too far off-shore. i don't even believe they opened fire on the cubans at all. did you mean to reply to me?

I am not even saying we should necessarily keep the place after we're done.

I just think allowing that Communist shithole to continue to exist so close to the U.S. has been a national embarrassment for the past 67 years.
