You think some snow boomer in Miami is more likely to fire upon the cost guards than drug smugglers? How do you even come to that conclusion? That makes 0 sense honestly. Why boat out 200+ miles when you could just fly in and not leave? There's still flights. Get a passport. Fudge some paperwork. Profit. You dont need to enter a fire fight with the coast guard. Also if you're risking your life for this family more, just to die in a barage of gun fire or worse jail in America, why even bother in the first place?

I dont doubt these extractions happen but that doesnt seem like what happened. Maybe your right though.

Idk every boat practically in the ocean in that area registered in Miami. Doesn't mean much honestly also. Boats are like planes the registration seldom matters much into who actaully owns it and where those folks reside.
Not some random snow boomer, a Cuban boomer dumbass. A Cuban in the States trying to get his extended out of Cuba. I've known some people who have done this sort of shit.

Easy. Grenada. It's even in the same region, and was invaded for the same reason we should invade Cuba (Commie infestation removal).

I forgot about Grenada. Most people only know about that movie because of Heartbreak Ridge. I’m pretty sure my local Sheriffs Office could have taken that island. We did that because a thousand American students were at risk.

Cuba poses no risk to the United States. It’s the geographical equivalent of Brock Lesnar living down the street from Cyrax. The rage boner against it a Cold War grudge.

Most people who hate Cuba are Cubans.

I wasn't even responding to you. The two posts I was quoting were two people other than your dumb ass.

you quoted me, so i was assuming you meant to respond to me. sorry, i guess.

And live in Miami. And they don't hate Cuba. They hate COMMUNISM.
i think the idea that they were cuban nationals trying to smuggle someone else out is definitely on the table too. i know the cubans fucking DESPISE the government, and even the ones who are still there are mostly just too old, afraid, or have it JUST good enough that escaping isn't worth it. or sometimes they just have too much family there and they can't bring themselves to leave.

I guess you have a point. You still suck though.
you wouldn't happen to be drinking would you?

American overseas territory is the preferred nomenclature, dude.
something i haven't put much thought into right now, what happens with guantanamo bay if we DID take over cuba? do those guys suddenly get tried for all kinds of crazy shit that's going on now that it's a US territory and under US law? is there even any kind of precedent for that?

Ignore them. They won't do anything. It's not like their Nintendos will get turned off or something.

We couldn’t keep it popular enough when we still had veterans from The Battle of Wounded Knee walking around. Since then America’s not just rejected imperialism but actively rat fucked its allies out of theirs like during the Suez crisis.

We can talk about treating the rest of the world like a map game when our own bridges aren’t collapsing and we can control the borders we’ve currently got.

C'mon though, you can't tell me that Brock Lesnar snapping Cyraxx in half on principle wouldn't be fucking hilarious. I'd definitely watch that at least once yearly and its geopolitical equivalent would be no different.
