Nope.

One is carrying 730,000 barrels of crude, which would take about 20+ days to refine into diesel, and last them about 9-10 days. The other is carrying way less.

What's interesting is that there are stories that one of the tankers might be escorted by a Russian destroyer.

My guess is we might actually just let them dock, for all the good it'll do.
Now then you mention it, are these tankers are well maintened and not too rusty?

The Thunberg-style activist trip to Cuba is going on right now. Here's the website for it, though it doesn't really have much information:

"Jeremy Corbyn, Clara López, Pablo Iglesias, Hasan Piker, Kneecap, Chris Smalls and dozens of parliamentarians and movement leaders join the Nuestra América Convoy to Cuba. "

Here's an example of boxes being put onto boats:

But a lot of activists are just flying there:
In the latter video (which you can auto-dub to English), David Adler of Progressive International appears to be the primary organizer of the event. He was previously on Greta Thunberg's failed boat trip to Gaza.

It appears that Hasan Piker is also simply taking a flight to Havana, arriving there today. Not clear on what his itinerary is.

I would question the seaworthiness of anything Russian at this point.

This fucking guy...

"Yeah, you peasants can go on the boat. I'm just gonna fly commercial and I'll meet you there for the photo op."

Here's a Newsweek interview from a week ago with Progressive International's David Adler, the primary organizer of Nuestra América Convoy. Doesn't especially talk about the event or even Cuba specifically, but rather his view of America's adversarial relationship with Cuba. Might be hiding his power level regarding just how much of a commie he is.

IMO if it happens, then it should have happened decades ago, and much suffering could have been avoided. There was no reason to allow the Cuban regime to have spread so much poisonous leftism via various associations (especially within the US), and the Foro de São Paulo.

Reminder that the Cuban regime is intimately linked to the DSA, which sees it as an inspiration and model to be replicated across the US:
More on Cuba being the finishing school for the DSA:

The Cuban government rejected a U.S. Embassy request to import diesel for generators, calling it “shameless” in light of the Trump administration’s fuel blockade on the island, according to WaPo.

Oh yeah, Cuban exiles should totally re-entangle themselves in a system that can nationalize their shit at the drop of a hat.

Fuck that noise.

Counteroffer: Complete unconditional surrender of the commie Cuban government.
I kinda wish Miller was president, he’d probably sink the Russian destroyer and the tankers then strafe the life boats.

Lol I was there in 2014 and it was poor as fuck back then and you could tell everything was literally falling apart. In 2026 I'd bet it's a hellscape.

There was no visible homeless or begging but beyond that, 3rd world type poverty and a near total lack of the Internet. Hell they could only afford the print La Granma (the national newspaper) 3x a week and it was less than 15 pages long lol.

The ONLY places that were kinda nice were tourist spots and a few museums in Havana.
If and when the population will menage to tear down Che Guevera statue, that'll be more priceless than the removal of Confederate statues.
God that'll be beautiful

LMAO at best 1 Month of fuel

God emperor Trump I'm begging you for one drone strike.... Just one.

Miller would absolutely do that and he'd execute the Leftist blockade runners on primetime TV.

He’s doing the infant mortality shit that literally is Cuba reclassifying any child under 4 as a miscarriage or not even a human?

As I'm looking around right now at the Twitter accounts of key organizations and individuals involved with Nuestra América Convoy, I'm being more convinced by the assessment that the advertised humanitarian purpose of the event is really just cover for a radical Leftist bootcamp and conference with the Cuban government to figure out how to save the communist regime.

Today is supposed to be the main day of the event, and it has already been going on for the days prior as well. You think there would be a deluge of photos and videos demonstrating the victimization of the Cuban people by the American Empire, but there really isn't. You mainly just see pictures of the airport, lecture halls, and conference auditoriums. It seems like boxes were just handed off to the regime at the airport. No way are any of these people stepping outside of Havana to see the remaining 80% of the Cuban population.

I am from there, ever since I left, I have gone back to visit my grandparents at least once a year with some exceptions like during the pandemic. I have seen the degradation every time I've gone, it gets worse and worse. But the thing that most impacted my parents when they have gone, is seeing old people rummaging through trash to find something to eat. It is really depressing, seeing the town you grew up in, in that state. We even saw a young man looking through trash, my dad felt bad for him so he gave him some money, when I asked him how much he gave him, he said $100 CUP, I laughed at his face, in our time, that was worth about $4 USD, then it was worth about 1/3 now it is less than 1/4 USD

Also, it's just called "Granma," and people call it "El Granma," and they better not stop printing it otherwise people will run out of toilet paper (I'm not kidding about that btw)

. It seems like boxes were just handed off to the regime at the airport
What's funny about this is that the regime takes this "humanitarian aid" and sells it to the people for USD. I heard that Mexico has caught wind of this and they're pissed off. The aid is clearly labled "NOT FOR SALE" and Cubans have to buy it from government stores.

That happened too in Venezuela during the worst years of the economic crisis. Supposed humanitarian aid end up being sold in the black market and sometimes overtly in a number of drug stores. I even remembering personally hearing of a few cases where people claimed to be "recipients of aid" and then later would sell those medical supplies, a big market was the cancer patients, it was next to impossible to find drugs for cancer treatment in the country so their families had to rely on the black market, usually sold for exorbitant prices, and that situation was happening before any sort of "economic blockade".

Very :optimistic::optimistic::optimistic: but it will be very funny if they stop at least a few boats of the commies returning from their human safari in Cuba.

Cuba's electrical grid collapses for a second time in a week.️ Cuba’s Ministry of Energy says "a total disconnection of the National Electric System has occurred," resulting in another nationwide blackout.

The boats in the Nuestra América Convoy are departing from Mexican ports, and avoiding US waters, so probably little chance of that.

Whole thing is a farce anyways. Just like the Gaza thing. They ain't gonna bring enough material in to make a difference.
