Cuba collapse - Drinkin’ rum and Coca Cola

It's interesting that Cuba's other international luxury mouthpiece, Radio Habana Cuba, is on the air right now, and seems like everything is just fine. I would think that the fuel needed to run their transmitters would be more useful running hospital generators or something, but I'm not a central planner.
The illusion to them is more important then the people

The U.S. has shipped about 30,000 barrels of fuel to Cuba’s private sector in 2026 despite maintaining a broader oil blockade on the government, Reuters reports.

➡️ The policy, under President Trump, is meant to support private businesses while restricting state-run entities.

➡️ Although small relative to Cuba’s total needs, the shipments are rising and helping some businesses restart operations.

So whats the long term goal of this?

What is stopping the cuban government from immediately seizing the oil? Granted chimping like that would sink any kind of diplomatic good will with the US but I can see the commies being that dumb.

I promise you those "private businesses" are fronts for the gov't down there, or at least playing ball enough with them that there's no difference, and that oil is making its way into gov't hands.

The separation of the Cuban gov't must happen . We cannot negotiate with them. Same with Iran. All you do if you don't do that is empower them to reentrench and make the lives of those who spoke out even more miserable. In Cuba this means privation, imprisonment, etc.

In Iran it means death.

This seems counterintuitive to the almost in reach goal of bringing down the communist regime ??

To those advocating regime change in Cuba, be warned: The Comander in Chief of the Ugandan Armed Forces (and son if the president) has said any attack on Cuba is WW3, so tread lightly.
