I haven't thought about this before, but what happens WITH Gitmo if we take over Cuba in an official capacity? Wouldn't the land become properly "American" at that point, no longer being in weird limbo where the cuban government owns it but America leases it's uses exclusively?

Would it be wise to watch and see if those sigint spots suddenly find themselves empty? I'm not sure how you would, but I imagine if the ruskies and slant-eyed softmetals think the US is taking over, they'll clean out and vacate any military positions and relevant documents.

I'm always monitoring geo-fenced Cuban restaurants near ChiCom and Ruskie sigint bases on my phone at Guantanamo levels.
We'd have to wait until someone reports on them leaving because I doubt we'd see their planes on ADS-B. If you're autistic you can monitor doppler radar over Cuba and look for anything weird that would indicate the ChiComs have fired up their radar that would look like this:
