In the wake of the spergout, a couple of Twitter threads were created documenting Dusty's long history of racist opinions and statements.

Jesus, retroactively defending Atheism Plus. There is no hope for this fuck.

Dusty teamed up with CreationistCat's Vadim Newquist (and Tim Blake, who's mostly unknown) to do a podcast. They had some sort of dramatic fallout over who gets the Patreon bucks, with Vadim "firing" Dusty, as if their sad and pathetic online habits count as employment. They decided to have it out in a stream where they whine at each about how they can no longer be BFFs. It's pretty damn gay:

He really is one of the biggest dramacows on YouTube, which is really saying something. Not a day goes by when he doesn't fall out with someone for stupid reasons.

Still, seeing that shitty podcast crash and burn right out of the gate is fucking hilarious. Creationist Cat used to be a guilty pleasure of mine, but after watching Vadim's pathetic showing at Mythcon V where his opening salvo was "reality has a leftist bias" and seeing him cheer on hbomberguy's Mermaids stream, he can rot for all I care.

So in his latest stream, he white knights for a godawful Vice article entitled 100 Ways to Make the World Better for Non-Binary People that the Amazing Atheist took to task.

He says there's nothing unreasonable about the list whatsoever and this is all optional (yeah right, only if you don't want to get witch-hunted off the internet), but I read it and it's bugfuck insane. Here's a sample:

Non-binary (1).png
Non-binary (2).png

He tries to claim there's no beef between him and TJ, like we've forgotten the huge tantrum he threw over Twitter because TJ retweeted Paul Joseph Watson once. He's honestly becoming more like Steve Shives every day. One of his arguments at the beginning of the video was that the article wasn't saying you were a bad person if you didn't follow this list, but then he gets mad at TJ for laughing at it.

Anyway, TJ made a response video and also called Dusty out on his bullshit:

Non-binary (3).png

Dusty and Tim Blake (totally a reasonable and rational SJW amirite?) waded in to try and fight back. It went as well as you'd expect:

Non-binary (4).png

It would probably be a better hill to stand on if the article wasnt an unworkable contradictive mess. For example number 5 contradicts number 23 as does 73 and 78, the writting style is so obnoxiously twee and patronising it's physically difficult to read.

I'm pretty sure I could do a better list in 10 and I don't really care about non-binary people's feelings. God might not exists but demanding a gender fluid person at every meeting is good example of an unworkable praxis.

I haven't been able to find his first video addressing the anti-SJWs from a few years ago, but I remember that he admitted that he tried making a few anti-SJW vids himself when he stopped getting views. It was only after that failed that he resorted to crying about how his videos covering supposedly more important topics weren't doing as well as the anti-SJW vids. I think that we can safely assume that he's only obsessing over anti-SJWs because anti-anti-SJWism has become a feasible cash cow in its own right, and most of its adherents are so desperate that they'll accept almost anyone into their fold.

I would say that Dusty knows that he was misrepresenting TJ and just doesn't care as long as he can get some content out of it, but then I saw this seemingly serious tweet. I think that he may actually just be as dumb as he lets on.

I remember what occurred. Dusty tried to make a career comeback in 2016 after he essentially abandoned his YouTube channel years back. When he failed at doing that, he started fighting with TJ and the rest of the skeptic crowd as a way to draw in viewers.

Dusty at the end of the day is all about attention. It doesn't matter if it's good or bad, he just wants. Drama and conflict is how he thinks he can get it.

Of course, because they don't exist.

How this person who is so proud on his rational atheism and skepticism can buy the whole "non-binary" bs?
It’s funny, because his argument of “This stuff is optional” was also deployed by Christian apologist Alister McGrath during a debate with Christopher Hitchens. Hitchens responded with “Yeah, but we’ve been told for centuries the alternative is burning in hell”.

Replace the words “religion” and “God” in this clip with “social justice” and you have the perfect counterpoint to Dusty’s position. It’s scary how well it fits too - yet more proof Social Justice is just a secular religion:

Of course, because they don't exist.

But people still say they are, and those are the people Dusty is trying to whiteknight for. I guarantee they don't care about his youtube atheism man opinions or his personal grudge against Teej.

Seems like Dusty can't really get any good boye points for shitting on Lauren Southern, since everyone's doing that, so he decided to milk the drama surrounding her by trying to cancel Shoe0nhead instead

The whole chain

It really isn't going very well for him. I don't know what exactly he's trying to achieve here but it's pretty sad.

Edit: oh my god he just keeps going, he's not even saying anything new just repeating the same thing.

I'm too lazy to archive everything so here's a snippet

Edit2: Ok now it's just sad, he apparently made just 10k last year (arch) and this is enough to live on because being a raging faggot on the internet is all he does, thus he does not need money for anything (arch)

I forgot he white knighted for Leslie Jones about two years too late. He conveniently forgot to mention the fact that the reason the harassment got so out of control is because she decided to keep on poking the hornet's nest.

He's just looking for attention. As I said the other day, that's all Dusty is about. All this petty drama he starts on social media is an attempt at getting what he wants.

If Shoe was smarter, she would stop giving this guy attention. All she's doing is sustaining him by replying to him. Stop paying attention to him and watch him really go off the deep end.

People have been saying Dusty's doing this for the money, but I don't agree. He's been making pitiful amounts on Patreon and he's haemorrhaging subscribers. This is his socialblade at the moment:

He's getting a decent number of views, but not nearly as many as he could be getting. While you can make loads off BreadTube, ironically it's usually a small percentage who make that kind of money (I want to say the 1%, but since Breadtube's still quite small, that may not be accurate).

I think there is something genuine to his recent flip to SJWism since he started speaking out against anti-SJWism before BreadTube became a big thing (it's only since it became big he's completely gone off the deep end), but I think the key reason can be summed up thusly:

Dusty is very easily influenced.

If you don't know anything about Dusty's personal history, let me give you a quick rundown. He started off as a hardcore Christian. He was a creationist, listened and believed everything Kent Hovind said, thought Jesus was going to return, the whole shebang. He was also a huge fan of Alex Jones and big into conspiracies and even gave homesteading a try for a little bit (spoiler alert: he failed miserably at it).

Then he got on the internet, and if he's to be believed, the decisive factor in him becoming an atheist was him getting sick of being called an idiot for being a Christian.

After that, he got pissed that Bernie didn't get the Dem nomination, and became a hardcore Trump supporter because he spent all his time lurking on r/the_donald.

You're probably noticing a pattern here. Based on what he's told us about how his beliefs evolved, it doesn't sound like he's ever done any serious thinking about what he believes and has come round to his way of thinking through fairly entry-level stuff. All his old atheist videos would just repeat the same points over and over, and they were usually stolen from other channels/blogs more or less wholesale. His newer videos have been following a similar pattern.

His swing away from anti-SJWism sort of bucked the trend, because that was apparently caused by actually reading Trump's manifesto, but I think his latest nosedive into full-on SJWism has just been caused by the recent increase in BreadTube's popularity.

I think to some extent he is a trend chaser, and probably sees this as something that could become big in the long run. But he started down his path way before it was popular, so if so he's been playing a very long game.
