There's 2 threads bitching about "current year" shit they don't like, so to fight so much cynicism, talk about current shit you actually like.

For example.

"Total old media death" Watching "news" empires collapse and burn is beautiful, specially if they are replaced by random 0 production value autists on social media.

"Woke shit ruining every franchize" Double win, Hollywood and all slop producing entertainment corporations lose billions and consoomer funko pop collecting dorks seeth and dilate.

"Cancel culture" Turns out this was a double edged sword all along and karma is a bitch.

"Left wing credibility in shambles" Since before the Obama days, the liberals had a pretty solid monopoly on morals, rationality and sensibilities, and those who opposed them were almost exclusively seen as tin foil wearing conspiracy theorist religious zealots, tables had turned on them hard since around the time of gamergate and they will die on the woke hill.

"The Noticing" With the exception of the usual kikecocksucking conservatives, people are finally noticing now, even in Murica, more so than ever.

The fact that more and more people are going public with their retardation. If the world's going to hell, we might as well go laughing.

The rise in the desire for men to cook, more and more cooking content. It is so easy that even a retard like me can whip up a delicious home-made pizza with minimal effort.

I like it when people put a bunch of edits in their videos every other word and sometimes they turn the volume up really loud as to exaggerate what is being said, it helps me understand that what's going on in the video is really crazy and really gives me an understanding of the author's opinions.

In a similar fashion I love it when movies tell me how awkward a situation is, because Im a little bit slow when it comes to those things it helps when the director points it out.

One thing im starting to like in current year, everyone is hating e celebs nowadays or making goofy excuses to hate them (Ex: grooming?, some sort of hypocrisy, laziness/entitlement, greed, etc) I do enjoy this because i've always believed e celebs (not lolcows specifically) were the downfall of the internet and causing it to become very soulless and corporate like retards caring about monetization and crap.

This is a very recent trend but I've noticed that the so-called status quo is no longer a recipe for success.
If you tow the party line and say/do the "correct" things, you might get praise from journos and such but you will fail to resonate with the public.
Organic success only happens these days when you go against the things promoted by the establishment.

The deflation in both value/ROI and respect of college degrees.

For the longest time degrees were looked at as a sign of intelligence and prestige. Regardless of the type of degree, if someone had one, they were looked at as "successful", even though most degrees haven't been a good investment in over 20 years. These days though, most colleges will let in basically anybody because grades don't matter, and people know that tons of students get chatgpt to do their assignments, so most people are aware that finishing a degree doesn't mean shit. As well, with how expensive degrees are, most degrees result in people going into upwards of 6 figures of debt to spend 4 years preparing them for a job that might make $50k/yr, if it lands them a job at all.

I'm not somebody who simps for trade jobs as I think those jobs have their own issues. I just love knowing that there are plenty of smug know-it-all cunts stuck on the same economic level as the average Olive Garden waiter, with the bonus being that they don't even get the benefit of "college graduate" being a respectable trait.

Counterpoint: Taylor Swift exists. That said, you can at least become immune to cancellation and find some measure of success by appealing to the current counterculture, so there's that.

Troons and pooners continue to commit suicide when they don't get their heckin validation.

That's not organic success though.
She had corporate and media backing from the start.
If she wasn't constantly promoted, would she be popular?
I have doubts.

Organic success is someone like Tom McDonald.
Like him or hate him, he did it all by himself and now he has millions of fans, largely because his lyrics are very anti-establishment.

I just like how vocal people are about their autism and their sperg activities on the internet.
