I've been playing this indie game called En Garde! It's a super fun action game. It's got parrying and such but the real stand out element of the game is that you can use the stage elements to fuck with your enemies. Kicking crates into them, which stun them, then you can kick them down the stairs, breaking their guard when you go into attack them. Lots of different stuff like chandeliers you can bring down. Tables you can kick and objects on them you can throw, thrown turkeys get stuck on enemy heads and blind them. Etc.

Enemies have what I can really only describe as "Aladdin being chased by the guards" banter with the protagonist. And nobody in-game dies when defeated, so you get fun moments with enemies commenting on your crate kicking or commiserating with each other about how you just beat their ass.

It's definitely got those USAID dollars a lot of indie games got. Lots of telltale story and stylistic decisions I don't need to explain to you lot because I know you know exactly what I mean. But I simply don't care, the gameplay is too fun to let it get me down.

Currently have smt4 apocalypse on the go, but thinking of starting up another grindy jrpg. I have the ff pixel collection and I havnt played those games in like 10 years now so maybe that.

Feels like I've constantly got too many games on the go tbh.

The LUNAR Remastered Collection is out. I will be wearing my old ass Lucia pendant that I got in the collector's edition of LUNAR 2 while doing it, because I'm a fucking dork.

Picked up a sim wheel and I've been hooked for months; both are pretty arcadey(bumper cars, no vehicle damage), but the vehicle settings have enough detail to autistically tune cars for hours

Playing TWEWY for the first time, I thought this game was going to be another generic JRPG for fat losers (it is), but it’s actually really fun, the gameplay is pretty unique and the story is not bad so far.
