This is a creepy church next to an even creepier daycare at the front of my mom's neighborhood. Every time I go down to visit I drive by these places and they are always abandoned and empty but the lights are on in the church. The daycare has black construction paper blocking all the windows. No strange stories about seeing weird things around them, they always just really made me uncomfortable. They are ALWAYS empty.
The strangest thing is my mom lives in a pretty damn nice neighborhood...but these are pulled straight from some 4th ward hellscape.

Hmm..I dunno! I never looked into it, I just used to notice those places every time I drove by. I haven't been down there in awhile so maybe they are gone by now. I just found it creepy that the kids daycare had black construction paper covering all the windows :[

The were accused of it a lot for a bit, but it was most likely do to miscommunication because the church itself was started in China in the late 20s and the guy who brought it to the US spoke terrible engrish. They've since been cleared as "Not a cult, just very Asian"

Interesting. Before I posted the pic here I didn't even know "Local Church" was actually the name of some organization I just thought it was a generic sign lmao.
