As a woman I will say using fat models to advertise clothing makes me much less likely to pay attention to the clothes and more to the model; clothes I would have probably bought otherwise, I’ve been turned off of buying because the model wearing it made the clothes look really bad.

It could just be me, but this doesn’t work as an advertising tactic. I’d be willing to bet it even grosses out actual fat women.
