From what I've read, there are some fathers of transgender children who pushed for their children to transition because they thought their children would turn out gay. "Better a girl that runs like a girl than a boy that runs like a girl." Or something like that.

Two things: First of all that's pretty based, Mercury is rad as hell and I don't appreciate society's anti-mercury attitude. Second of all, it's really not that dangerous so long as it doesn't get ingested or come in contact with an opening in the skin, and so long as you limit exposure with proper ventilation.
