It gets worse. A lot of freezing Canadians thought it would be brilliant to winter in Mazatlan without checking a map to confirm that it is in fact in Sinaloa which is in "turmoil" because El Chapo's son just got arrested. The resorts are making them shelter in place while they figure out how to get people out of there with everything that moves being shot at including any aircraft on the ground.

Canadians are fucking stupid. Stay in Sinaloa and get shot vs go back to Canada and die of Covid.

I actually had a relative who spent months in Mazatlan himself. I never been to the city myself but I do remember seeing that city out my window from my flight from Puerto Vallarta. I actually planned to stay in Cancun but my father told me it's not a good idea and I can understand why.
