I saved this picture nearly 10 years ago but it's so hard to find that I fear it may become completely lost had I not import the picture from what I saved it to (aka. I really old device I could only send pictures while messaging to myself. I might be wrong though.

I'm usually a fan of eccentric items but I hate these goddamn things. They're not that bad at car shows in the sun with a bunch of old guys shooting the shit around you but they always give a little startle when you turn the corner and see them in a dark, quiet antique store or flea market.

I may be wrong but I don't think so: Bad news my lad, that's not a girl.

That's Shion, a sub-boss from The King of Fighters XI. You can tell from the braided blue hair on the front of the head, the body type, and the way they drew his eyes and face. And yes, he's girly, he's even what you'd call a trap.

Why did they draw him all mutilated and bloody? I've no idea.

So apparently these things are commonly called "time-out dolls", meant to look like a toddler standing in a corner. Whose old housewife had empty nest syndrome so badly she wanted to make these, and then it just caught on?
