Okay, someone give me the backstory. Other than just being a dog staring at a dark room which is a tad spoopy, why is this cursed?
It's an early painting by Eleanor Koopman-Prins (an early 20th century minor Dutch painter). She normally was a landscape painter, and this is the only known painting of hers with a dog in it (she did not own a dog). Of the 9 owners it's had since it sold at auction in 1954, 7 of them have died (of various causes, including one murder) in the same room as the painting. The oldest one was 58.Okay, someone give me the backstory. Other than just being a dog staring at a dark room which is a tad spoopy, why is this cursed?
What were the circumstances of the two who didn't die? It's an early painting by Eleanor Koopman-Prins (an early 20th century minor Dutch painter). One died naturally in an Austrian sanitarium 10 years after she sold the painting, and the other went missing on an expedition in Guatemala while exploring Mayan ruins. What were the circumstances of the two who didn't die?
So one literally went insane and the other probably had other cursed objects muddying things up. Got it.One died naturally in an Austrian sanitarium 10 years after she sold the painting, and the other went missing on an expedition in Guatemala while exploring Mayan ruins.

Looks like you're right. I tried looking up "Eleanor Koopman-Prins" and found nothing, while "Dragan Bibin" immediately shows the painting with the dog. It even has a page on KnowYourMeme:The painting is by Dragan Bibin.
