This is a scalloped fretboard to play Vietnamese traditional music. Its just another way to make a microtonal guitar. It's also a measure to prevent the player playing Fortunate Son while flying over jungle canopy.
Yes, I know what a scalloped fretboard is for and that it’s common in Vietnamese culture (learned about it through a Lao friend). But this guitar was abused by too much uneven scalloping. The stickers as fret marks is just sad.
