Yeah most of these pictures are not of Ouchi. The first one I don't think is Ouchi, because some facial features don't match up to known photos of him. Second one is his colleague Shinohara who was actually exposed to less radiation. Third is Ouchi's fucked up cells. Fourth may be Shinohara or an unrelated person--jury's still out on that one, but Ouchi's exposure was largely on the front of his body. Fifth is not Ouchi--no one definitively knows where that picture originated from.
If anyone's interested in more about Ouchi there's a documentary subbed and transcribed in English that features interviews with his doctors and nurses.

Sorry this is a bit O/T but I'm neither an artist nor a weeb, yet I can tell something is off with this dude's style. Besides the obvious hilariously derpy eyes on the first chick, can someone explain what's going on here? Is it the proportions?

It's incredibly basic, the designs are just awful, and lacks any depth or personality, he's successfully found a way to capture the creative potential of clip art. He doesn't understand what he's doing, and he's clearly trying to exlpoit the massive amount of tards who want to draw their favourite chinese cartoons.
It's fine if you're someone who draws in their sparetime and it ends up looking like this. What's baffeling is that he's a self proclaimed expert in something he clearly knows nothing about, and what's even more fucking crazy is how well these books sold (literally, you can find a horde of these books in any American public library).
While there are many reasons why there's so much horrific anime styled art floating around online, Christopher Hart plays a massive role in teaching thousands of children how not to draw.
Imagine being a middle aged man, seeing your daughter watching sailor moon in the background, drawing this, and thinking not only is this good enough to sell, but that it's such a good piece of art that a book needs to be made to teach retarded children how to draw like this.
not to mention, as a professional artist, you want to show off your creative skills in a very expressive genre. You draw this, truly the epitome of manga. Afterall, big eyes + big funny hair = cool little japanese fella.
