Might as well post some more fucked-up stuff from my class while we're still posting congenital defects. Here's a set of conjoined twins and what I assume is part of their digestive system.

True story, the night after I saw that poor mutant baby I went in my door, blew past my wife without saying a word, grabbed my own daughter who was 1 year old at the time, looked her all over JUST to make sure, and just about hugged her to death.

I'm still a parent-in-waiting, but I think I completely understand this feeling.
Our latter try to have a baby ended in miscarriage and it still haunts us.
Thankfully this time we got past the first trimester, so now it should be all well :).

I just realized now it's possible the unfortunate I saw it may have been lying in a way where it's deformed facial features were hidden rather then fully missing like I thought and the holes in it's head were...I dunno. drainage? I definately didn't stick around to take a longer look. Fuck this is grim.

What I'm curious about is how the fuck did that woman leave a hospital with something like that? Don't those malformed babies die in a matter of hours or days? Either she left the hospital and took her....thing with her when it only had hours to live or she was carting around a dead monster baby

As regards the 'Radium Girls' my memory of that whole period of time, when people had no fucking clue just how dangerous ionizing radiation really was, was the story of rich socialite Eben Byers, who claimed his great health and golfing skill was due to him drinking 3 bottles of 'Radithor' radiated water a day. Radithor was filled with delicious radium and thorium giving him lots of 'energy'. Yeah, that it was doing, but not the kind of energy he was thinking of. When he finally died in 1930, the lulzy headlines said 'the radium water worked fine, until his jaw came off'. :o

His corpse in his lead-lined casket is still dangerously radioactive today. The yummy radioactive water in question

Years ago there was a similar thing on DealExtreme or AliBabaExpress, except the fleshlight part of the foot was a mouth with a Freddy Mercury style mustasche. As I remember it the foot itself was slender and feminine, not a sturdier and masculine lumberjack one as you would expect from a gay foot fetishist. I wonder if anyone ever saw that one and thought "hell yeah, that hole was made for me".
