I know this photo, and that megacolon was taken from a man who lived for 22 years since his birth with Hirschsprung's Disease, which is a congenital defect in which the nerves that control the gut are completely absent. This poor guy was constipated and looking pregnant for his whole life, his family never helped him, and he was eventually forced to seek treatment because the impaction had become so large that it was causing him difficulty breathing.

Yep. I mention that a bit further down the thread, but I forgot the name and wasn't aware of the other details. Fuck his family, can you imagine how bad going through puberty and adolescence looking like that must have been for the poor bastard? He might have to shit in a bag for the rest of his life now, but he looks like a normal person again.
