Just in writing.
This is an exercise I have read being recommended on a book for creative writing, and I think it's quite interesting.
I have yet to get an idea or decide what movie to do this to, what about you? Feel free to share your ideas.

Take the end of saving private ryan as the old man turns to his grand son and ask him "Will, am I good man" and Will turns to him and says "Ahhw fahk grampa" and goes off to tear down a building before going to see his court ordered therapist.

Mix up American Psycho and Batman Begins. Bruce Wayne is just another alias for Patrick Bateman (or perhaps is another person entirely, but since the yuppies are indistinguishable from one another even Patrick gets confused), and some nights he goes out to beat up mobsters as an alternative means of indulging his sexual murder fantasies.

Include the Machinist too, and The Dark Knight. Movie starts out with normal Batman, but after talking to the joker he becomes corrupted and turns into the American Psycho version. At the end, show The Machinist where he is extremely anorexic to convey his descent into insanity.
The Bat -> The Broken -> The Beaten

Fight Club but the main character is Randy Stair and Tyler Durden is Terry Davis.

Not necessarily "in writing" but take any Steven Segal movie up until 2000.
He always looks the same and has the same backstory.
You could easily mix like 12 movies into 1 with the already existing footage and come up with something that's not the worst Steven Segal movie ever.

Also, try to make a cohesive narrative using 1 Marvel movie, 1 DC movie and 1 X-Men movie.
That's easy enough.

There was a fan edit that did that.
