I think I've brought it up before in this thread but once irl I was working a radio audio engineering gig, and Local Show brought in Some Rando from Local Zoo, who brought in a young sloth
he was very cute and spent most of his time hanging from Guest's arm but was welcoming to get pets and stuff and generally was chill
he was also completely silent outside of normal mammal "mrrm" sporadically, so bringing him for a radio thing was completely useless
but I got to poke at a sloth so that was cool

my grandma had one and he never let anyone touch his big ol bed except for me, which was also a good size for tiny baby me. we hung out on his bed by the fireplace in my grandma's cool cabin in the forest
his name was poolah and now they get to be together again :semperfidelis:

It's probably going to take a long time, this particular species can take almost two months to develop from egg to adult so the colony is probably going to become big enough to live in a permanent nest next year.
