Re: Palis' cats aka manul.
I had the opportunity through being connected to a local zoo to photograph some kittens multiple times as they grew up. No photos to share because they would 100% be linked to me.

The videos really don't get across how violent these things are. I will never forget the horrible, horrible, hellish noises coming from the enclosure as the kittens competed over the dead baby chicks being thrown in. They are totally feral killing machines. Also very cute.
Big cats like lions and tigers often seem just curious and playful and have relaxed moods. I've never seen the palis cats do that. They're just thinking about murder 24/7 it looks like. I've never seen them want to interact with humans the same way lions do. Their hearts are full of bloodlust.

Yeah, they are ferocious!

This is a description is about a 1906-07 manul.

They still do that: Entice humans to get close, and then attack them.

Pluton is absolutely gorgeous: friendly-shaped, big-eyed kawaii, and plushy charming—like a sweet kitty straight out of a painting!
But don’t be fooled: his keepers say Pluton is spirited, temperamental, and a fierce wild fellow. He is the dread of mice and quails! In short, he is a true manul!🔥

Sorry this isn’t the best picture, I had to carefully peek through the window to get it lol
I feed a lot of stray cats on my neighborhood so I always have a giant bowl of cat food on my porch, and every morning I’d come outside and it’d be spilled all over the place. Always assumed it was the strays fighting over it but it turns out the one doing the dastardly deed was this adorable guy/lady. Regardless of gender I’ve named it Paul the Porch Possum 3C7C4220-7B0A-4727-B93F-263BF82EED1F.jpeg
