CWC Coin Auction

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Since there are 4 coins up for sale, wouldn't each of the 3 top bidders will receive 1 coin each, and the 4th one will go to the 4th highest?
Yeah, but you missed the "if they're outbid" part. The 3-way tie is currently the top bid, but if it gets pushed down into third place, one of them isn't going to get a coin.

(Unless they break the tie by increasing their bid, I guess.)

I can imagine how happy Null will be to be done with this hellish adventure, but still I'm glad he did it. This is the sort of thing that people will talk about for a long time to come. Maybe it didn't make the money he needed it to, but I think the clout of having your own minted coins will benefit the forum more than we all think. Even the very public challenges of bringing that to market, make this a story worth telling. Even this auction is fun to watch. I feel like we've all gotten to see one of the internet's great folk stories being written, and we've all gotten something in return worth more than we paid.

Hated as he is, Josh carved his name in silver and then distributed it out to the world, nobody will ever be able to diminish that.

Ya did good, kid. :semperfidelis:

I sold a Kiwicoin on eBay a couple weeks ago for $180.
Spent the money on a couple silver 5 Riechsmarks (Paul Von Hindenburg) and ( Potsdam Church) and a sweet Polish coin from '35.
Some mercury dimes to finish out a roll. A pretty French coin and some silver bullion.

And yes, I still have some kiwicoins. I wouldn't sell if I didn't.

Null should probably not accept further bids that are exactly the same value as another bid.

Do I count as an aged account? Josh, I offer to pay the fee to fly you to Saigon. Greater value than $250. I only request one night of drinking.
You have to buy the craft beer for the World's Smartest Film Critic too. No questions about CWC.
