That's a four level split, popular in the '50s and '60s. Horrible, impractical design with stairs everywhere.
Thanks Jozef! I wasn't sure what those were called but that's what this house was. I use to go there all the time (memories I'll never get out of my mind), sadly that family moved on otherwise (the parents suffered rather a tragic end), someone else lives there now, seemed like a nice house for what it is.

Too bad Chris' house isn't a four level split, he could use the excercise!
I bet! Run his ass up 'n down a dozen times daily.

I'm pretty sure Chrissy still has his room upstairs just like the last 30 years but his playroom is the basement now. (until Barb starts to fill it up with more hoardings.)

What a werid statement I just typed. Sometimes I forget how surreal this shit actually is...
I had been under the impression that Chris was going to get upstairs, while Barb was going to get downstairs. Maybe they switched from what they had planned since Barb realized that a bigger upstairs = more Hoard storage?

That's the basement. You can tell because of the ledge; that's common in split levels. I guess he lives down there now, and still sleeps with Barb. I was hoping he would get his old room back because everyone wants some privacy every now and again.

Chris avoided this title for years, but now it fits.
He is now officially a basement dweller.
CONGRATURATION

In a split level, the lower level is technically the basement, but it's more integrated with the rest of the house with real bedrooms, full-size windows, a family room, etc... so it doesn't actually feel like a basement.

I'm slow-in-the-mind. So there are only two floors, then? When you walk in the front door, you're technically in the basement?

No, you're in a little place often called a foyer that is actually on the ground. Often, stairs go up and down from there and the upper floor is above ground, while the lower floor is below ground. In some styles, the actually-on-the-ground part is larger and a floor itself. You've probably been in or at least seen more than one of these. I've lived in at least one of these.

IMO it is a reasonably good design for a house, but probably isn't ever going to be popular again.

Whether there are "only two floors" for the design we're talking about would depend on whether you'd consider that foyer thing a "floor," or include stuff like attached garages that would also often be at ground level as constituting a "floor."

This design lost its popularity in the 1990s and it never really bounced back. Nowadays people prefer ranch homes where everything is on one floor. My grandma lives in a split level somewhat like 14BC (hers has the garage on the lowest level) and it's pretty bad for her bc she has to constantly be going up and down the stairs all day.

I would love to take this pic and show it to Chris in the FUTURE MESSAGE vid he recorded 10 years ago. Though I already know how he'd react

:briefs: *sigh* (:_(

Thanks for this. This sounds completely alien to me, even though I'm an American. I guess I've only lived in flat states. I wish we had a floor plan of 14BC.

Yep, my aunt lives in a split-level and that sounds just like her house. And said "stairs" are usually only like, five steps.

Naturally, her house has always been much, much nicer than the Chandlers', (for starters, she and my uncle were never hoarders).

I dunno, maybe then Chris would be excited by the number of new toys in the picture.

The Tomgirl schtick has been building for a loooong time so who knows.

this iteration of Chris really screams *SPECIAL*, look at him, that face, hair, stache, glasses and clown shirt, you can know right away this kid aint right.
That piece of shit game even in 99 I remember you could buy similar on the Chinese stores for pennies. Cant believe they advertise it as superior to a console game like the snes.

I don't know why but he reminds me of an ex-boyfriend of mind in high school. Maybe it's the 'stache.

I almost feel a little sorry for him in this picture. He does look special and maybe a bit disappointed. Don't know why it hits me in the feels a bit *sigh*

I'm not sure if this is the place to discuss Sonichu stuff but i'll go ahead:

This picture was created this last summer as part of his eBay's artworks for sale. In this, we see in the background Sonichu and Rosechu having a pleasent time playing tennis, and more importantly a close-up of Rosechu holding over her shoulders a strange object.
Now with the recent details shed by Chris about her character, we can safely assume this is a blade shaped as a lightning bolt, made of electricity:

https://kiwifarms.net/threads/4-16-chris-explains-differences-between-amy-and-rosechu.9017/
In fact, we had another glimpse to this newfound ability in this photoshopped screenshot at the back of his custom amiibos packages:

We know that Chris is a notorious offender of the litterary principle "Show, don't tell", that he relies on posting various explainations and plot points outside the comic, leaving the majority of Sonichu's readers out of the blue. Knowing Chris, it's already canon for him and probably expects to be a known fact to the fanbase. It may applies retroactively too, so that she ALWAYS had these cool and useful powers we never seen any of it (or any electric attacks for that matter).
And given that the power of creating any weapons out of energy like lightning has been done by numberous more talented authors before him:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SpontaneousWeaponCreation, it's a safe bet that Chris ripped it from some source.

I like how Chris's autismal creations are imposed onto a screenshot from Animal Crossing

It's actually a stage from Super Smash Bros. based on Animal Crossing, basically he inserted his abominations as actuals fighters for this game in order to make his custom package more TRUE and HONEST.

That same weapon also shows up on the cover for Issue 9 so yeah, he's thinks we already know.
