There is something in Chris's face that reminds me of a baby. It doesn't help we know his history. But as greasy as he is, he looks like a little kid. A creepy kid in a young adult's body, though....

That massive silverware cabinet in the right background. . . looks so cold, so rigid, so artificial, like a museum display. It reminds me of Barb's anal-retentive nature. This is a hunch, but I'm willing to bet that the Chandler household under Barbara was like a museum in the early days before the Horde started. Everything had to be rigidly organized and in place, and DON'T TOUCH! It must have been traumatic for Chris to grow up in such an environment. Then, after she retired, I guess Barbara swung to the other end of the spectrum. I guess her control over her surroundings is how Barbara expresses her neuroticism. I think I had leggings just like Chris's in that pic when I was a kid. But if was the early 90s and I am also a girl. I never saw boys in leggings that I can remember. But I may just be remembering wrong. Maybe they're long johns or something.
