Wait a sec. He imagined Sonic characters as "actors" in R. L. Stine books?? This is quite... well...

Okay, maybe I should be quiet. When I read Brave New World at a rather young age, I cast myself as John the Savage. But in my imagination I didn't insult Lenina Crowne with Shakespearian vocabulary but rather had very pleasant Soma-fueled hankypanky with her :heart-full:

Heh, y'know, this "I had to memorize how I looked" story has always been amusing to me, but I wonder, when Chris draws himself, is everything flipped left to right? (because he said he did it via a mirror)

Maybe I'm reading the page wrong, but did Chris try to make that page read from right to left to further emulate the manga style that he had been going for circa the Megan saga?

"The Wide World of Sonic the Hedgehog."
What is a "wide world" to Chris, who can't really fathom life outside Virginia? As far as fictional universes go, Sonic is really shallow. His brain would melt if you showed him Lord of the Rings Marvel Comics, Game of Thrones, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy...

Some observations about the (vastly improved) Week with Christian:
Why the fuck is he wearing a button down and tie while drinking soda?
What mile long climb? My high school had mandatory gym class for all 4 years but I doubt Chris took gym since I'm sure we'd of heard how stressful it was to have been expected to change amongst all those other :pickle:. And again, button down shirt.
Miranda looks uncomfortable and I still can't believe a teacher let Chris get away with using the term 'slow-in-the-mind'.

At my high school the special ed kids were almost always kept segregated with the rest of the school population for almost every class and that included gym. A few of them could attend normal gym and one or two other approved classes (like art) but they were an extreme exception. Special ed kids had their own PE that they didn't even change for. Chris probably had a PE like that.

Also I think the "mile-long climb" is autism for "we took our senior group picture outside". Pretty sure it was a topic somewhere around here recently.

Where I live, Aspergers doesnt get you that special PE discount. Though the gym teacher was always nice and let me do some other exercise if I could not do the current one, like letting me do 60 pushups instead of jumping over giant wooden obstacles.

Come to think of it, I knew one girl (who seemed to be on the slow-ish side, but was in my normal child development class) who mentioned not taking gym. In my state gym class is required, but I guess if someone has some serious issue they can pass. I remember kids with broken limbs or serious sprains had to instead read health articles and write mini papers instead of actually do gym. I always assumed the girl took a study hall-ish class where she just had to do homework but maybe she had to do the health article thing too. Hm.

And that makes sense. I'm sure there's a nice sweat stain down his back if the picture was in fact outside.
