If the pic is from the early 00's this might've been a Patriotic Christmas tree in memory of 9/11. People were obsessed with Patriotism back then.
Beat me to it. Yeah, seconding that this is probably a "freedom" tree. Redneck types really bought into the whole freedom and ultra-patriotism thing. Because otherwise you don't really love America, or something.

I can see those lessons on patriotism flew over Chris's autistic head. " CLYDE IS WEAKER DAN DA TWIN TOWERS!!" :stupid: :ween:

She's got all the great presidents on there - Washington. Lincoln. Roosevelt. Bush?

That picture also reminds me of something you'd see in North Korea - "see glorious leader, we love you! We are true patriots! Don't send us to the work camps!"

I'm also sure they don't know a single word on either of those documents they've affixed to the tree.

Classic Weston smugness showing off their dumb shit they think is an accomplishment.

No less than 6 goddamn American flags on that tree.

ok im done

I'm pretty certain it's the same store where he took pictures with Barbie and Mario. Somebody did determine what store it was, but damned if I can remember what it is. I only know it's not K-Mart or Target.

The way Chris holds up Sonic in that entire collection of pictures seems like he's angrily reminding Barb he's not taking a picture with the one character he wanted to take a picture with. Also ignore the zit.

What exactly happened to Barb in that time frame?

Having a mentally challenged child ages you horribly. Don't belive me? Next time you see a little brat tard-raging in public, look at it's mom. Chances are she'll look 5 - 10 years older than women the same age who have healthy normal children.

Whenever I see parents carting around adult children, they always look so dead inside.
They'll never admit it. They always talk about how wonderful their kids are and how blessed they are to have them. Never about how they have to take care of someone with the mental facilities of a small child. How they're denied a child who will ever become truly independent. For some of the worst cases, how they'll never see their kid graduate, or even simpler things like ride a bike, perhaps even read and write.

I wouldn't say that's entirely true, I've heard my mom talk with parents of other kids in the special needs classes living in my hometown about some of the hardships that they've had to deal with, frequently at the hands of school officials and other kids who either have low expectations of them or aren't above trying to sabotage them just to validate their bigotry, but that's another story.

While I'm long past the point of throwing a tantrum in public, when I go out with my mom to help her with a few errands, I worry that other people will look at me and think "Wow, what a mama's boy, can this guy get anymore pathetic?" Of course this is probably me being overly self conscious and my obsession with trying to do anything to prevent myself from either resembling or becoming the next CWC talking

It was service merchandise, a now closed catalog showroom. Seems like the chandlers went to the mall afterwards and posed for pics.

If you call your mom, "Mommy" and spoon with her, you should get some help. Otherwise you might have to deal with her colitis. :surprised:

I could envision a tradition in North Korea telling kids that Kim Il Sung brings them presents on winter solstice. (That is, an extra bowl of rice and some coal - to put in the oven to keep warm.)

Yeah, for what it's worth I think that's much more likely to come across as "oh hey, you're helping your mom out. Good for you."

My local mall usually has Santa and the Easter Bunny but they have this big ass area roped off with a big chair and big present decorations with a backdrop and it actually looks nice when kids get their picture taken. Just having the character walk around getting snapped in front of fast food or a toy aisle seems a bit on the trashy side.
But yea, I do think you're right about where it is.
