Is that an official hat or homemade?

I don't know anybody else that wears a high school ring. I think my uncle wore a college ring for a while, but not in 25 years. I actually don't think I know of anybody who even has one.

That's the place to go if having a white woman is important. Russian men are horrible; alcoholic, misogynist, life expectancy in the low 60's, won't accept a stepchild, etc. You might need to pay for some orthodontia, and you'll definitely have to get them a makeover, but the woman are very beautiful, and if you're a nice guy and treat them well you probably don't even have to be that rich.

I know, right? Barb or Chris couldn't be bothered to research the official costume. Probably because researching is STRESSFUL. There might have been some children's Halloween costumes, but Chris would have been far too big to fit into those. Even he "outgrew" the homemade costume.

Honestly, nowadays only diehard pokemon fans probably would recognize that was even Ash Ketchum's hat. He got a new one back in the third Gen. cartoons, so with the old one's "logo" resembling the Nike logo more than anything, it looks like a cheap knockoff of a Nike hat than actual merch of an international franchise:lol:

I had professors that wore their college rings. Lots of fellow students stopped wearing their high school ring sometime in college. I personally never wanted a high school ring, but one from my alma mater. Seems like it means a lot more.

the Jostens rep swindled Chris, just like the do most high school juniors, but Chris is likely to only one in the MHS class of '00 to wear his class ring far after hs, he could have pawned it for lego and vidya

I have a friend of mine who wears his class ring and he's a junior in college. Granted, it's an honest accessory rather than the TRUE and HONEST source of his power.
Same for me about not wanting one. I think I did for a minute buy my mom said I shouldn't because it was expensive (and realistically, I wouldn't wear it). My university, though? Oh hell yes.

I think it's an old guy thing to do, from back when high school was actually hard and most people didn't go to a university. It seems like a lot of guys from back then wore their high school rings well into adulthood, especially if they weren't in the military or college to have a unit or university ring to replace it with.

Yeah... the whole "school ring" thing seems more like something out of the 50s to me. Oh, don't get me wrong, they did push them in high school and a fair amount of people wore them, but like most people on these boards, nobody I knew ever wore them for more than a couple years after graduation. At most. The few who did tended to be former athletes or people who didn't go on to college and... I don't know... stayed in the same suburban town their entire life? Personally I never wanted a high school ring because, I didn't care about high school. Still don't. Oh, sure, I liked some of my classes and teachers, and I had some cool friends, but I never had "school spirit" or any of that. Never went to a football game, or bought a high school t-shirt or any of that crap. Personally, I'm a lot happier with how I spent my money back then.

But for people like Chris... well, I guess that's just the highlight of their life, isn't it? I mean, Chris was less fat and he was certainly (relatively) healthier, there (probably) wasn't as much of a hoard, and his child like interests could be sated with Sonic, Pokemon and shit. More importantly, Bob was still alive, his life had some sort of structure, and people at least interacted with him, even if he was too stupid or ignorant to know they didn't actually like him. For Chris, that really is a high point in his life. And that's sad. But it certainly would explain why he continues to wear his ring, why he's making his Lego MHS abomination, and why every other post on FB is either begging for Legos/sympathy or crying about his "glory days" at MHS...
