Shame the poll doesn't go from $20 to $10 to $5, because let's be honest, most of us would part with a fiver to own something as stupid as this. God knows I pissed away more money on even more pointless things than a TRUE and HONEST Chris drawing.

I picked $20 because that's the maximum amount I'd be willing to pay for a CWC-original. Even then, I think that price is quite generous for a "piece of art" with the amount of effort Chris' gives his art.

Look at the amount of effort somebody like Maple has put into the CWC Adult Chronicles demo, and Maples' making it available for free. :tomgirl:

Chris could easily make that grand he wants off our forumers if he sold lots of his artwork for cheap. But that would require work and effort and *sigh*(:_(.

I'd buy it for $150, but only if he apologizes for being a stupid, greedy asshole. ...or the $120 I offered him. Chris has thanked people for gifts recently, but I think he'll just be angry at whoever buys this.

I daresay that Chris would be mad at you/somebody buying the drawing for $120 for a lot of the same reasons a LS would get mad at a heavy set "not a supermodel" girl for showing interest in them: "not good enough, I wanted more." The childish entitled attitudes parallel between the two are astounding.

If I even wanted to put anything towards this would buy it for laughs, but knowing what my money is going to... (AKA Legos/stuff he doesn't need instead of money for help for food or clothes.)

I'd pay $50 at most, but more due to the other entertainment he's provided, as a gesture of good will than because it's worth that much. Plus, a smug Chris is more amusing than a depressive one, and someone buying his work might just lift his spirits a little.

If I could afford to spend money on art, I think I'd buy art from an actual artist and not the crayola scribblings of a pampered manbaby.

But that's probably just me.

Smug Chris is just Chris on a temporary opiate of sorts. Clean cut, hygienic, employed and productive Chris would be the first real happiness I think Chris would ever have felt in his life because all the positive things gained from it would be from his own two hands and you can't put a price on that feeling. Getting handed something versus earning and cherishing it is a crappy feeling in my book at least.

Said it before and I'll say it again: I'd drop $20 for the "MY LOVE QUEST IS FINALLY OVER" original. That shit makes me laugh every time it's so goddamn ridiculous. It would be worth every red cent, as long as it didn't reek of rotten watermelon and hybrid BO/AXE fumes.

The drawing is worth less than $5, but then I wouldn't be paying for the drawing itself, but for the associated intangibles. Plus a "quality" frame.

I think $100 is a pretty optimal price for generating the maximum butthurt and rage. Chris would rage because it's far, far less than the $1000 he is currently demanding, even though it's his original Buy-It-Now price. And the weens who are going to rage would rage because Chris would be getting his original Buy-It-Now $100, which is $100 more than the drawing is really worth. There's no need to do something silly like pay $1000 when $100 is more than enough.
Then I would complain to paypal that the drawing isn't as described (because it isn't), get my money refunded, and when paypal orders the art destroyed, I would comply by cutting the drawing into 88 one inch squares. Once I have my money back from paypal, I would print up 88 certificates of authenticity, and offer the squares for sale again on ebay for $5 each. This would give everyone an opportunity to have their own small piece of Christory as well as a chance to be in on something that would really troll Chris, all at a very reasonable price. Even if I don't complain to paypal, I'd only have to sell off 26 squares to make back the original $100 outlay. I could stand to gain a maximum of $350 in pure profit if I sold all 88 (which I might well donate to the cwcki just to squeeze out every last drop of rage from Chris).
Or I'd just donate it to MOBA for a tax write-off.

As an artist, I voted 20 or less. If he had the mentality of a true artist, I would at least give him a hand. Normally, a piece really has to hit me in the feels or capture my attention to actually buy it. But in this case, I would do it only out of pity. Since it's Chris, eh. It would definitely be a more....eccentric piece in my little collection.

The last time I gave money to the Chandlers I was told I should be banned along with everyone else that contributed to the Fire Care Package. So, helping people immedidately after losing their home stirs up a storm of vitriol that I actually found astounding and I'm a villain for even considering giving them money. Now there's a thread for how much money would you spend for his half-assed crayon drawing. Well, I know the answer to that one now...

It all goes toward Lego anyways.

Maybe if he redrew it and put some actual effort in (not to mention put the correct date on the drawing) I'd throw a few dollars his way. But considering his "gimme monies NAO!" attitude I'd rather spend my money on someone who actually cares about their work.

For example, I'd totally throw my money at the guy who is remaking the Sonichu comics; I was in awe over the gorgeous artwork. :o

This seems like an irrelevant question, given that we already have a gif of the color drawing. :pickle::pickle::pickle:

But in any case, if people are thinking of buying it for the forum or whatever, I would emphatically vote no. Mainly because I want to see what happens when his debt shit hits critical mass; if someone bought his drawing, he'd just blow through the money and be back where he started a couple weeks later, thereby delaying the inevitable.

I don't think even $100 would do much to delay the inevitable, because there's no way he'd actually use it to control his debt. He'd just have a couple more lego sets he doesn't need to sit among and stew while his finances collapse around him.
