CWCki Forums RPGs Discussion.

Okay, so it looks like I'll be modifying Savage Worlds to suit Left 4 Autism.
It's just using hit points and modifying some of the combat mechanics. Other then that, we should be good.
Now, this is an open world game. There are story quests and side quests, but you're free to ignore them and go exploring. In fact, exploring the world (that is, Richmond and it's surrounding areas) is how you'll find a lot of the lolcow fights, unique objects, Relics of Fail, and other hidden stuff.

On an unrelated note, would anyone be interested in being a GM for a Supervillians game? Basically, us players are supervillians in a league of evil organization. We all have individual goals that we make up, but above all we want to spread EVIL AND CHAOS! Would anyone else be interested in playing something like that?
I've already got a character, FatMan. His villainous goal: steal other peoples food. By barging into fast food joints and grabbing stuff. While riding on his Hovverround Of Doom. Which has an M2 machine gun mounted to the front.

I agree completely. If it isn't fun, what's the point? D&D 3ed. left kind of a bad taste in my mouth, but in hindsight, I realize it was mostly due to the gaming crowd I was hanging out with at the time. They were really a bunch of mini-max Munchkins. Which segues to my next point. Surtur, I was an ass both to you & in general in that last gaming thread you posted, I apologize. I was way out of line. My information was both dated & colored by my own personal bad experiences.

No worries, its fine.

@Randall Fragg

I would run a game like the but I do not know the first thing about running a super hero game. Not to mention I am running a few campaigns already.

I know that there is Maid RPG, which would be kind of funny if we played it.

Speaking of play styles, what does everyone here think is ideal in a game?

Alright, here's what I've got so far. I included rule modifications, weapons, armor, and a bestiary. Please tell me if I missed anything. Otherwise, I'm ready to go.

Alright, I'll post a thread as soon as possible. Anyone can create a character and jump right in.

In addition to Left 4 Autism, I had a few other game ideas that may be interesting. These wouldn't need any modifications.

Ikkuma: The city of Ikkuma Alaska, based loosely on Miyake-jima in Grorious Nippon. Mostly the whole "base of an active volcano, citizens have to carry has masks with them at all times" thing. But with more monsters and horror and less weeb crap. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miyake-jima

Savage Villains: Basically, a game where you play as the bad guys. You make up a supervillain, decide what his powers are (or if he even has any), make his secret Lair Of Evil, make his Ride of Evil, and decide what his goals are. Then you and the other players from your own Legion Of Supervillainry and take action based on everyone's goals. Such as rob a bank, and then pull over in the middle of a police chase so that FatMan can ride his Hovverround of Doom through a McDonalds and steal peoples food. Hopefully it will end up like The Venture Bros on acid. Maybe even do a CWCville addition where we play as our non shitty interpretations of Sonichu villains (or make up our own Original Content) and fight Chris and his band of recolors.

Call of Chandler: Basically, find a CoC rule book and make a campaign based on Chris's antics. Instead of reading tomes of Lovecraftian lore you flip through Sonichu comics and Chris videos.

"You found yourself here, in this city. CWCville, the residents call it. They all talk in hushed, reverent tones, of The Mayor. The one called Chandler..."

Oh, just had another scenario idea. Majestic-12. Basically, drawing from all the conspiracy theories, UFO incidents, mysterious animal sightings, and associated crazy stuff. You play as an agent of Majestic 12 in various scenarios throughout the Cold War era.
I don't know, I just read this story and thought I might be able to make a good game session with it.
