No, despite everyone saying otherwise this is written almost entire in C, regular C. Actually a subset of the standard library of C because I provide my own standard library functions, usually by stealing bits of musl. It is compiled as a freestanding position independent shared library ELF. It provides nearly everything it needs internally except for threading, malloc, free and I/O. Everything not handled internally is linked in via HolyC, which handles the ABI calling convention translation. There's about 2500 lines of HolyC to handle final loading/linking/execution, and about 54k lines of C consisting of the actual engine.

Not that I've heard. The only thing is make sure computer has a HPET, and it's not disabled in the BIOS or whatever. TempleOS has a fallback if you don't have a HPET, I don't.

As a C64 kid I can see where he’s coming from.

I will find a PC and try to run it at some point though.
