Cyberpunk 2077 Grieving Thread

We received a 50GB patch during our review period. CDPR referred to this patch as the Day 0 patch. When asked for clarification whether the patch be what players were receiving at launch, a CDPR representative told us that the Day 0 patch is what people will be experiencing on launch day. It is the Day 1 patch, only different in name. More fixes will be rolled into the Day 0 (Day 1) patch, but we cannot specify exactly what.

Just as predicted, the game is getting 10s and 9s despite being a mediocre bugfest. Too bad aesthetics don't mean much to me, and the game needs to have a very very strong foundation gameplaywise to justify the amount of content (playtime), which it doesn't seem to have.

Oh, and W1 is the only good game from the company, W2 was a dissapointment, but was decent enough during the first half. Everything after that is overproduced bloated garbage and this game doesn't seem to be an exception. Let's hope I'm wrong.

Cancelled my Amazon order just now. I'll wait until a couple of days after launch to decide if i'll buy it.

Hopefully this day 1 patch will mix most of the graphical issues, i don't mind teh gameplay on show i like bullet sponge games but paying full price for teh modern equivelent of Daikatana graphics is a big piss off

Hmmm

I think I'll stick with Black Ops Cold War this month. I'm into the aesthetic, but this feels like something that is going to need a few more months before it's decent.

At least I'm used to the bugs in Cold War.

Never played BS:2, heard it was trash. Never picked it up.

The end of Bioshock:Infinite with the discussion on the infinite lighthouses, the ambieance, and when booker goes under the water with Elizabeth singing "What was once lost, now found..." and Booker's acceptance of his actions. All that cumulating in a sucker punch in the feels where i couldn't goto bed that night without going over all that I've done in that game that brought me to that point.

I'll never play it again as going through it once was enough, but it'll always stick with me.

Bioshock 2 has by far the best gameplay and game design of any Bioshock game.

On topic, I had a feeling it would be like this. 8 years in development? Excessively large Day 1 patches? Lots of features outright cut/missing? Shitty VA work?

This was always gonna turn out be lesser than what the populace wanted it to be; now like with Captain Walker in Spec Ops: The Line, the sudden realization that they have been running away from the truth is coming. This game was never going to be the masterpiece everybody expected; there were just too many warning signs to me.

I have not kept track of any major game reviews sites since about when Bloodborne came out.

Why would you want to play as a Trans character? The more I think about this text passage the more confused I get. Are many gamers this social incompetent that they have to cut their dick off in order to have sex?
Oh, and fuck CDPR. I know someone working in marketing and he met the bosses a couple of times. They're real pieces of shit he told me. He tried to give me his copy of Witcher 3. They sure left an impression on him.
