That fucking mouse acceleration, it's like I'm playing a good damn console port from 2010, I find it unplayable.

If you pay her for it, you pay her like a hundred eddies and V says with a straight face, "you can buy another car with this". Most cars in the game are at least like 13,000 eddies. I can't tell if it's an oversight or even when being nice V is still fucking her over.

I think too many people tried too hard to undersell the game, because now I'm playing it and I'm genuinely impressed by something that is, objectively, merely competent.
If I had to be objective I'd say that it wasn't nearly as impressive or as immersive as Red Dead Redemption 2, but because my expectations have been driven into the ground I'm floored simply by the fact that I'm about a dozen hours in, nothing has imploded, and that shooting people is fun.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out in the wild. After eight long years the whole world can now judge it for themselves, through whichever perspective or tint of glasses they so choose. And best of all, for 99.9% of those players, they won’t ever have to justify their feelings to the rest of the audience.

The armor and weapons "kill to get drops to get better guns to kill better foes to get better drops" cycle is something I REALLY dislike.
Playing CP2020 or any other RPG, you get a good fucking gun and you mod that shit up with a smartlink and a gyro/ballistic compensator, and call that shit good, then work on your skills.
Nope.
No reason to look for better mods, better smartlink ware, or anything like that.
Nope, just run up, punch a couple motherfuckers out, take their guns, see if you get better shit than you had.
Same with armor.
Rather than get clothes that you then get armor inserts for or anything that makes since like that, you just get random trash drops and go in looking like a raver puked on a hobo.
I just quit fucking upgrading shit, figure if I run into anything too tough, I'll do the laughable stealth, kill some dudes who'll drop blue or green, maybe find a purple, then swap it out till it doesn't work any more.
Nice to know skill in pistols or shotguns are damn near useless.
Fucking Borderlands and Anthony Burch should be wiped from the timeline.

I downloaded the update, now I'm locked in scan mode. What new bug will I encounter next time I start the game!

Pretty sure you hit caps lock, which is the toggle button for scan mode. Still, this new update definitely is fucked. Never had a crash before, but I've crashed three times since the hotfix.

I spent a good part of the intro wearing a grey skirt as a male character because it gave me 9.9 armor. Since the game is first person, I barely noticed it, but the scene where you add the cybernetics was ridiculous because your legs are in frame for a lot of it.

So far the game is fun.
It even runs on my old, below minimum requirements rig.
Propably good that I don't really mind bad shadows, juat want sharp textures.
V for V-2! Hope they do not patch this gem out.

I honestly tried out cyberpunk recently (i didn't buy it bc i'm a broke bitch so torrents are my best friends). Honestly lost interest two seconds in. Character creation was ok-ish? A lot more limited than I thought it'd be going in since the game took so long to make. It's sort of sad since the theme of cyberpunk stuff seems really interesting to me, idk why this just doesn't really do it for me. Maybe I should TRY to take more time with it. Dunno.

Imagine how this game looked like few months ago when they delayed the release. Frankly, the game on my SeX in performance is pretty ok. So far no major glitch just one annoyance that after talking with Victor quest didn't checked and had to reload the game to move story forward.
IMHO the most issues are in engine itself. Its great in creating wonderful scenerie but every fucking NPC in game have to have drawn path and if something stands in his way the game goes "wobble wobble" trying to safe itself from crash. That is why 4 cars can create traffic jam on intersection. Everything have to be manually programmed and with highly dense city like Night City the paths overlaps. The game also uses very old trick called "sneaky teleport" when you enter any elevator you are loaded to new location but something is wrong because some people get jammed in elevator or fall through the floor. Thing is there should be only one elevator taking you to different location. Probably CP2077 have dozens of such elevators that where never fully tested.
The people in city have no routines at all. Just small paths 10 feet back and forth doing nothing till timer hits "nighty night" and they miraculously disappear. Sometimes if section is "cut off" (by door or gate) and you reenter the section several times the NPC's can just vanish and only those who where hard coded stay in their place.
This "peeing glitch" probably is well programmed but something doesn't start with "if" statement. The NPC leaves the location but action of peeing never stops. Maybe semicolon is missing.
Did you realized there are no busses or trams or subway in NIght City? It would require NPCs to get on and off actually doing something. It's easier to make a path 200 yards back and forth to disappear when timer runs out than actually implement some algorithm that checks and creates flow of people in the city. That is why during car sections city is mostly empty. Game is hard coded to the bone and prioritize what to start render and what not. NPCs are at the end of rendering action.

I don't know why any of you feel the need to look like a trash hobo. I just wear what looks good and ignore armor values. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty and ignore all armor values. But yes, 'clothing is armor' has always been functionally fucking retarded. Even in Grim Dawn you had a system where you keep armor values and you can change how armor/weapons look to suit your character. The weapons are UGLY AS SHIT. Why do they all look like retarded nerf guns? I expect mods are going to massively overhaul these systems. That's really the first thing I thought of. Mods are going to re-work guns and armor. Its going to be fucking awesome when modders start throwing in guns and customization into this. Because CD Projekt fucked it completely.
I guess its just I'm used to the strategically 'sneaky cocksucker' strategy in these games. Getting high vantage points, sniping through shit with the tech sniper rifle, making their legs crash so they can't move, tossing 10+ grenades at them. Hacking is clearly the way to go in this game.
If they actually release 'creation-kit' level mod tools for this, it will be awesome. But even barring that, I have a feeling modders are already looking for ways to bust it up and open.
That said, I'm still enjoying myself. Johnny isn't as obnoxious as I thought he was and Keanu's voice acting is fine. I don't think its terrible or that he doesn't give a shit. He's trying to play the character, but its just he doesn't have as much voice acting experience, which always harms actors. I still think they should have went with a non-celebrity for Johnny if he was going to be this big a part of the game, because banter between him and V should have been happening more.

Never heard of this game until I saw the drama about it. Now whenever I think of it I'll always remember it as the game that made thousands of Twitter trannies buttmad and seething.

Five hours in. I'm enjoying the game a lot and have only had one bug - a hard crash, but I think that was due to my PC, not the game. The only things I don't like are: (1) I don't like the male protagonist's accent nor his use of so much slang - I'd like to be able to roleplay as a slightly more refined character; and (2) the driving, which feels crappy and tacked on.
